ok so quick update, Im in ontario. though the highway child and its crew are awaiting a waterpump in winnipeg, it blew a few hours after my last letter, tyfus and the others sent me ahead to ontario so I could be with my family for xmas....man I love my tribe!!!

I spoke to tyfus today and all is going well for them and should be arriving in toronto in a few days, as well as two girls we met in calgary are flying out to meet us just before new years.

My thoughts vibes and prayers go out to the highway children brining the highway child threw the northern pass...

    tyfus if you read this.....
    Thanks man!!!!!!

well folks, I got a call from tyfus last night, the highway child ( the bus not the group ) is dead..

the engine blew in marathon ontario...the folks on the bus are enroute to hamilton,

    sooooo one thing to do!!
    build a new BETTER BUS!!!!
    hehehehe I love building buses!!!
so the plan is were all getting a house and working for the next few months, with 6 folk working bring in an average of 1500 each ( some more some less) thats 9 grand a month times two well 18 000 will suffice4 to build one hell of a bus...or even buses...hehehe my mind is going crazy with possibilities,
I will be in contact with our sister bus the ship of fools, for some help in the construction..
    Im thinking a coach ....
    oh Im thinking many things.
it suc ks the bus died, but what reaqlly encourages me is the folk whjo have dedicated themselves to the highway child community havnt givenm up at all, actually they have just bonded even more so
    .....
if any more folk wish to help out in the construction and or finance building there will be room for them in our communty house...
well I may be speaking too soon, I have found a killer house its huge for a decent price...Its still not 100% we will get it, though It shgould work out...
    Ill keep posting
    peace

I guess i just have always thought of my vehicles as like family i know they are sure treated that way by me. I just think it is sadf to take a bus that has treated ya so well and you have put so much into would not be worth saving.
i have to of my old Rv's in storage myself one needs an engine. Why not look at storage for it for now and with the kind of money you are talking you could get the engine for that in no time get it fixed and even if you decided to make another bus that bus could be sold for alot more then the engine cost.
Vehicles to me get a spirit almost like a friend to me they are my friends and for me the thought of leaving one behind would sadden me alot. Oh well just my thoughts.

heheh tyefus is now sitting right beside me in hamilton, work had been sort of found for the bunch of us....

yeah road gypsy it sucked leaving it behind, though marathon ontario is pretty barren this time of year and even getting to the closest reall city takes about 8 hrs drive....it was a matter of need that we left it behind..

    still everythings kickin alright here....
will keep posting on the progress
    peace

Yeah roadgypsey Taos was awesome not really the town itsself it was more of a tourist artsy town but out on the messa was heaven, green building, self substainabilty, old volcanoes, hot springs, mounains, earth ship community, and a whole bunch of energy there its really weird u can feel the static energy in the animals hen you pet them. AND I LOVED IT.

Its warm as hell here right now. Its stayed in the mid to high 60's for the last week and a half now. glad Im not in Canada. Anyways check out free cycle on the net for a potential bus. Jason found one on there (in case the name didnt give it away, everything is 100% free). Leaving Knoxville with or without a new bus in May headed west. From what I understand the highway child was planning to pass back through Tennessee, anyone who still makes it down here before then has a place to stay. Anyways, glad everyone found work, good luck. peace

I see that you have had a bunch of buses. I would like to know why you did not fix the one that you had. I just seems like a waste of time and resources to keep geting buses when one dies.

    Peace,
    DB
