well I ended up skipping the propane anyways. Unfortunately Ive got a gas bus right now, but once I get back up to Canada I'll fix that. Shes beautiful though, currently at the garage and then getting a new paint job afterwards. A 1963 Dodge 21'. I love the bodies on those old buses!
HAHAHAH I had the same bus well 62 dodge.. oooh man gas is going to kill you, its going to be a HUGE expense converting that to other metods..propane will be your cheapest bet to convert even if you replace the entire engin its going to be a hassel finding parts that connect with others on yiyur drive train I blew a differential on my 62 and spent three months driving all over ontario looking for a part that fits ....I know of a really good scrap yard out my dads in picton they have a shit load of buses from the 40s on.... hope your journey goes well peace sara pink and yellow I got your emails, and I like your energy, the next trip will be a rather long one I mean we are doing the americas then bringing the bus over seas...we are leaving may 1st ryan needs to go to boston to get his passport so I dont see a problam is swinging by new haven to get you... peace drew eclipse...do you have any pics of the highway child ??? can you send them to me... oh yeah I got the highway child bus back....the negine was not dead, I talked to the guy who tye sold it too he agreed to sell it back for the same as it was sold for... it turned out the fuel gelled in the extreme cold, and because of the glow plugs and the weather it was impossible to start at that time....so now i Have two buses tp play with ...Im hapy to get my purple bus back though...... just thought I would update drew
A long and a strange journey - made for a good read - brought back many memories of life on the road - thanks for letting me eavesdrop - Good luck on your path and remember what Ken said, "you are either on the bus or off the bus"
Dudes, I know this is the wrong forum for this, but I'm actually kind of desperate here. I tried the find-a-ride board and digihitch.com, but I'm not very confident I'll get any results. I really need to get from the northwest to the northeast by october fifteenth on a budget of absolutely nothing to fulfill a promise to a pretty young girl. Can anybody help me out? <(^_^<) Please?
