lol ^ I think you have it about right...but the pope is the figurehead of the biggest and richest organized religion.

and just to answer what you were saying about Chrisitians and the pope...Catholics are considered Christian. They are now separate from the Prostestant denominations; but, in actuallity all of the Prostestants...Baptists (of which I'm baptized), Methodists, Presbyterians, Holiness or Church of God "goers" are who most people think of when you hear the word Christian referred to...AND these protestant denominations were/are derived from]Catholicism. < That is something a lot of Prostetants and Catholics don't like for people to get into, so of course I need to bring it up :p. Originally it was the Catholics, who believed in God Jehovah (and considered themselves judges) and everybody else supposedly believed differently, or not at all, no in between - according to them, years ago.

All of that changed as people began having more education and reading and studying on their own, and deciding their own core beliefs, aside from and/or including the "God vortex"...and that is how we have wound up with so many varying belief systems. People are no longer scared of being burned up as a witch or being stretched to death, or of someone on this earth being capable of excommunicating someone from hell - or of getting them in somewhere they don't deserve. Although, there are LOTS of people that think they can buy their way out of hell...I'd be willing to bet. anyway...

The longer time that has passed, the more even the typical protestant or casual believer in God is interested in this "pope stuff". There is also so much publicity about all of it, even down to the color of smoke and all.

If I got it wrong, I welcome anybody to set me straight. :2thumbsup:

ha! ^ I've done that. I can't believe you don't have a pipe to "make do", until you go to town. I can remember buying packs of papers at a time, just to avoid that.

I even have some papers right now, but all I do is eat it.

Too bad we can't swap some out. ;)

they better not pinch him, its not even st patty's day yet! hes got some green on his shirt (bowser and other game characters)
my beef is with the school which gives too little notice, and you know how kids can be when someone isnt the same. its like being set up to fail.

All jokes aside, I think having the green in/on his shirt should "be enough". Surely he'll think to tell them that. :2thumbsup:

I also know exactly what you mean there...I can even remember not wearing the "right thing" 100 years ago, because I would forget to tell my mother, and God help her, I don't think she ever worried about anything but going to the PTA.

The school's today should have a definite way of communicating this to you, to all parents. Yeah, I might would just give them a call and make sure they understood that you should be notifed when there are "plans" like this...or are you just supposed to "know" :sultan: and trust that a child/student would remember to always report planned days or events.

I do recall there being a time I contacted the school and asked them what kind of list did I need to be on to get advanced notice of field trips and something (I forget now...) since my son was NOT going to tell or remember to tell me JackShit before hand. Seems they somehow got the point, and they would send me special envelopes with notices, etc. Which they should be able to do a lot better now, like to send out e-mail or something.

:D Green is my favorite color. I have more green and beige clothing than anything else. Camo really is my favorite clothing, with beige, olive or black accessories. :2thumbsup:

I like to have green in all my rooms. I like blue with my greens...in my rooms, with cream.
