yeah when i dont sleep for a few days the world seems so far away. when ppl talk u cant pay attention and when u speak u cant remember if u said what u tried to say. id also see things that when i look upon arent there, movements out of the corner of my eye, sounds. its really trippy, but i hate it- because theres a reason i havent slept for that long and i just want to go to bed at that point

I've had some hallucinations from not sleeping. I've never stayed up more than three nights, but it's still weird. Like and object will just morph for no reason. Kinda fun.

yeah lack of sleep really does make me trip to. but it's never nice and is really bad for your brain.
i get all that, hearing people call my name and seeing black flying things, kind of like ghosts.
sometimes when im overly tired i find it hard to sleep and keep waking up with a shock like ive been zaped.
i heard the record is 11 days and the women who did it went bats.
a radio dj did it in the 50s as well i think and he went mad too.
he was convinced there was spiders all over him.

u sure your friend isnt on speed? cus that can help him stay up , and it also intesifies the hallucinations, especially hearing things and seeing shadowy people., Is he paranoid? people usually dont just stay up all the time, unless theyre on speed. Specially with the symptoms you described.

i stayed up 4 days one time, a result of some bad x that i think was laced with meth. i took it only one night and it kept me awake but sober afterwards. it was terrifying after day 3....i heard a little girl talking in the next room very clearly, but i couldn't understand what she said. i also sat in my room with the door closed, and on the other side of the door there was scratching. i also heard scratching on that door during the nights when i was 100% sober and well rested, so i think it was real. this time though, it was louder and accompanied by a male voice saying my name and that taunting me to come out. i curled up under the covers because i was TERRIFIED, but the voice just moved to the other side of the wall behind my head (only a short distance from the door) and starting laughing manically and calling me names, trying to goad me into coming out. i also saw lights flicker and such. now, where i lived when this happened was a very haunted place and i had frequent experiences when sober and completely in my right mind, as did anyone i had stay the night. not a fun place to be sleep deprived and alone.

During the summer I felt like that alot. I did see shadows and I thought I saw things flying around sometimes, it was also a little hard to walk straight. But I also felt like shit with a stomch ache and head ache and I couldn't eat or smoke a cig. The only thing that would cure me was to sleep. I couldn't even do that. I was so tired I couldn't sleep. But when I did get to sleep I would wake up only a few hours later to return to that shitty feeling.
Staying awake long enough to hallucinate has got to be real bad for you.

I didn't sleep for about 4 weeks straight at one point. I was taking pills for Androsis (not sweating enough) and their side effect was preventing me from sleeping. Luckily I found a different solution without side effects not long ago, but, back when I was on those pills... God. I thought I was going to die most of the time, and when I didn't think I was going to die, I thought I was already dead. After about a solid week, my entire life was a hallucination, and I wasn't sure whether or not I actually existed or not. I can't even begin to explain the stuff I saw, heard, tasted, smelled etc.

When I get little sleep, I tend to jump at even the most expected noises.
And everything seems really.. hm.. floaty, dreamlike.
I've never pulled a true all-nighter, though.. usually the worst I do is functioning on about an hour and a half of sleep.
I want to try this.. I'm fascinated in stretching my mind to it's limit.

most deffinetly possible. ive never heard of somebody doing in purposly to trip out like that, but i was experimenting with amphetamines over the summer, i was up at a party one night and got no sleep, my friend gave me a concerta (which for those of you who dont know is basicallly time release ritalin, shit lasts allll dayyy!) and he told me i would be able to go to work and focus much better, and keep me awake, so i took that at about 1 in the afternoon, my mistake, i was up allnight, took another one the next day so i could work, up all night again, by the third day of work, i was going insane i kept hearing people speaking and my mind was yelling and arguing with itself. i kept seeing things run by in my perifeal vision, i finally just locked the door, walked out the back, and talked through my problems with a tree behind the store, luckly my manager left me alone most of the time. i slept for 19 hours the next day!!

ive been up for 13 days straight, the only drugs i was on were weed and ritalin.....after about 5 days i started seeing/hearing things that made no sence to me,shadow people and police were surounding me...or so i thought. so sleep wouldent come due to my intense paranoia/withdrawls. after 11 days i went to the hospital to get sleeping meds...it took a damn near overdose amount for me to finaly achieve sleep.........
