How about corporate welfare?

I'd rather go after those who cost us billions, than someone taking less than $20k a year.

Gee, we really costs us more? Uncle Eddie, the lazy ass, who collects less money to live on in a year than I make it two or three months, buying his beer and cigarettes-- (contributing to a quicker death) ?

OR

Some CEO motherfucker who takes in billions from government subsidies and grants, swindles and illegally trades stock--costing thousands their pensions and hurting the economy in general?

 

Maybe there is something wrong with me, but I've never understood how that we spend lots of money on one wasteful thing can be used as justification for spending money on other wasteful things.

 

I think her point was that system set up to help your fellow man/woman/child out of a desperate situation is NOT a wasteful thing regardless of those who abuse that system.
