It was me. What I meant was I thought you sounded like an embittered old glam rock groupie; pining for the days of his or her now distant youth and belittling those who dared to do something new. I wasn't implying that all fifteen year olds are ditzy airheads, they were your words.

I'm not obsessed with glam rock, I just like it. I'm more into the sixties and seventies stuff.

I don't see why it sickens you. Lennon and Cobain gave so much to people that it's only natural that they be worshipped. Both of them changed the direction of music in their respective times and gave people endless amounts of joy. Both were intriguing, charismatic figures who died young. They weren't just "people who wrote some music that people liked a lot".

wow, way to contadict yourself, you just said you werent basing peoples music off their image. then the only defense to Jim was thats hes sexy?

but anyway Jim Morrison wasnt a musical genious like the others. he was a poet more than a musician. and it seems to me like he was more of a person who threw issues that he thought were fucked up, like vietnam, back into the govts face. more of a person for people to follow than a musician. but i still love the doors.

dont get pissy at me saying "your too young to understand anything about what happened" cause yea i probably am, but thats just what i see

Wow your a true idiot. How dare you speak that way about someone who is dead. Do you have any respect at all?Not to mention you didnt even know Kurt Cobain ,so for you to say he was an "insensitive asshole" makes you look like a dumbass, big deal he said somthing about axl rose.Get over it. Nirvana wasnt the death of glam rock they were just one of the nails in its coffin.I rather listen to a musicain whos music stood for somthing like Kurt Cobain,Axl Rose was a horrible artist who work was garbage and his name is an anagram for ORAL SEX.AXLE ROSE= ORAL SEX ...and you think this mans music is better then Kurt Cobains?

Kurt Cobain was a beautiful person and he made beautiful music .First of all he didnt "ride" the grunge wave he created it and when he died grunge died to.His music is just as popular now as it was in the 90's so to say he had no talent makes me laugh. His message was not about drugs ,he even wrote a song about a young girl who was raped so why people say his music was garbage and had no meaning is wrong to say ,if people were to just listen to the words to his songs and understand the lyrics they would understand what his music represnted because many of his songs did have meanings behind them.Another thing is many great musicians of the sixties were"junkies" ,many musicians were "junkies" not just Kurt Cobain and the rest of NIRVANA.

I may not like Kurt Cobain's music, or grunge music in particular, but I know enough to say that grunge was an important facet in rock and roll. So unless you have undisputable proof that Cobain screwed you over in someway, killed your parents or whatnot, you can't just go running around, whining like a crybaby jackass about how he's a horrible insensitve asshole, just because he wasn't about "peace and love", or wasn't glam or whatever. Music can't stagnate forever, it has to go somewhere. It can either go in a radical, deeper new direction, or it can simply rehash the same crap from it's predecessor.

You're Just Proving My Point! I'm Not Going To Let People Put Axl Down, I Just Can't Take It. For Saying Something Like That Especially After His Child Was Born Dead Indeed Makes Him An Asshole. That's My Basis. What Else Do You Call That Sort Of Behavior?

Courtney Love isn't so bad. Heck, she grew up with the Grateful Dead, I think Jerry Garcia was her godfather, if you look at old band pics, you see her in some of them. So she's a little wild, and flashes people so what? Besides, she's not stupid by any means. The link below is the transcript of a speech she once gave about the RIAA and the effects of the DMCA on artists:

Kurt Cobain wrote music knowing that it wasn't for everybody. He started playing music aimed at a specific target audience, so it is only Kurt's success in what he wanted to achieve that a lot of you don't think much of them. Nirvana were underground for a long long time before any record producers spotted and signed them. They used to play in everywhere from garages to pubs and small clubs and even theaters before they got signed.
Kurt was always against being "cool", he hated on the media and society and never wanted to become part of anything mainstream. He often claimed he'd rather be dead than cool, but when people started to like his band's music then I guess you kind of wanna give it the best you got.
You know what made Nirvana sell out? The countless number of fucking pop-following cunts that liked the 4-chord pop structure of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and so bought millions of copies of albums/singles and brought the song to number one. Nirvana didnt do that, place themselves at number one in a mainstream chart. The "fans" did (when of course real Nirvana fans would of noticed the song was a bit poppy for Nirvana and not gone too mental on it.)
There are many allegations and figures that fit perfectly about Courtney Love being arranged in the killing of Kurt Cobain. Evidence has been found that shows that Courtney Love payed a large sum of money (in the thousands) to a man 3 days before the death, the impossibility of Kurt being able to pull the trigger of the shotgun due to the length and the area of the head shot, and the intriguing fact that when they found him, the door was locked from the outside. So in effect, when these people assume Kurt blew his head off, they are portraying what the media tells them.

All i can say is if you judge Nirvana solely on the In Utero and Nevermind albums then it's no wonder you don't think much of them.

As for the comment on Kurt's music being all loud, noisy and distorted - to the clever bastard who said that, download an album called Nirvana: MTV [Live] Unplugged In New York.

I fucking love all grunge to be honest.

one of the many printed articles of kurt's death. there's much more depth on some which show there's no way he shot himself. However, he comitted suicide, be it intentional or unintentional. the autopsy showed that he had more than the lethal dosage amount of heroin in his bloodstream to kill him, so he would of died that die of he was shot or not. it's pretty fucked up but there was no way of him escaping death that day.

It makes me think when I hear people say Kurt Cobain shot himself - where do they get that from? The fucking media hype, which blocks the fact that he overdosed.
