Actually they are fairly sophisticated, able to interface with your pc. If you have a problem your pc can tell you if it is the bulb,ballast, or connection. Unlike our good ol flourex.(they got a redesigned one im sending my bunk one in and i'll give a product review on the new flourex- hows that!)


No, on the contrary, there is such a huge market for street/shop/store lighting
A wise company with a decent product and the right price could upgrade millions of fixtures fairly easy.
Or a smart person with a little cash could make some dough on e-bay.

(i just wanna test one for now, but i'll be needing ballasts by the dozen someday)

the flourecent lighting industry was revolutionized by electronic ballasts, now they are applying that to HID.Im actually on to somethin here.You'll see.

 

Yeah ,dont buy one made by lights of america. No really i can't wait to see the redesigned one, im sure it will be much sturdier than the prototype models we have.
But the electronic ballasts from israel are intended to retrofit stores and streetights, and that is why they are low priced. Well worth 70 bucks to find out more id say.They actually look pretty sturdy.
Im thinking of becoming a distributor, if i can sell you on this product I'll be doing good. How am i doin?

Never happen from a Israeli manufactorer,not even for free.I would consider trying one from a american manufactorer at best.To each there own Tiedye.peace

 

You know me im just stubborn I guess.

Im sure i'll have to test products from two or three maufacturers, before i'll find a good one for the right price.
Thing is in europe these things are already prevalent on the market and cost about 100 pounds
The cheapest you can find them here for a decent sized ballast is 230 bucks.
The american market overcharges for growlights, although in most cases you get what you pay for.

I Did find someone on overgrow who has been running one for about a year now. He was saying the same thing as you- some are lemons-some are not. The good ones work excellent, and about the only drawback is a slightly smaller footprint.
It something to investigate before i start buying multiple lights. Or you never know ,I may need to upgrade a large system someday.Good to know both the pro's and cons. Seems to me like they will have better quality digital ballasts for HID available in the near future. It took them a couple years to get the flourecent ones working good too.

 

I have found it is best to go with what is proven to work and in 5 years the maufacturers of electronic ballists may have the problems ironed out?

Hey I keep having people give me little samples of their homwgown bud. It sure looks way more mature than what i have. But it tastes just like crappy mexican, and has a burnout high to it. They never get a good bag of mexi or what? Like i'll only save seeds from the sweetest or really hashy tasting mex, but these guys must have found the commercialest tasting stuff they could find.
I been growing out mexi seeds for years and i never get anything like this.
I actually think the bag of mexi i have is better tasting.
And of course my weed none of them compare to. Think I'll smoke some more of that now.
