Someone shared this with me today. It's an article about how beneficial trees are to human well-being. http://www.collective-evolution.com/2015/01/21/living-close-to-trees-comes-with-a-number-of-health-benefits/
This is one of my favorite places on earth. I've been many times, I've been all around, inside out. To me this is the heart of Bavaria, her soul. Our mother, the mountains. =]
This is the Externsteine. Very sacred place for followers of Saxon/Norse/Germanic mythology. I try to make pilgrimage once or twice a year on solstice. I've probably posted it here before. =p
The Externsteine is significant to me because it is where the Irminsul once stood in its glory before the French came through and murdered the Saxons because they weren't Christian. Externsteine is a series of limestone rocks just randomly located in a section of the Teutoberg Forest. As if they were just placed there on purpose. To the left is a stairway that climbs the left side of the rocks. It has an alter or possibly a place to observe the heavens. To right side of the rocks are where the Irminsul stood. Irminsul is a pillar, a great pillar that holds the heavens from the earth. Chiseled into the stone is now a mural of the Irminsul being crushed by a crucifix. I wish someone would chisel it away. =[ The stump of the Irminsul is still there mainly covered in blood spilt from the heathens. Runes are decorated all over it, I have left my own runes, story and timeline in runic scripts across the rocks. The little lake is often used by naturists and nudists for dipping or swimming. Is very clean. =]
To: Lucy Sky Diamond. I was in Jasper and Banff over the summer. It's such a gigantic and awesome place!
Yes! We have the border done but then we stopped and that was a month ago and we haven't started again lol. We thought we were moving along too fast... So we decided a few nights a week. Plus it was giving me a headache staring down at the table. We'll get back on it.
I wanna sit on that porch and drink cider then light candles when it gets dark and tell scary stories
