New to growing!! PLEASE HELP?! Questions about male/female and harvesting!

Damn, sounds like you got into a quagmire of newby's. I gave an answer to an identical Q? just a few mins ago. they might be able to find it

 

Get rid of the males. If pollinated the female plant puts a lot of its growth energy into producing seeds. If left unpollinated they do not produce seeds and put all that extra growth energy into producing bigger fatter colas.
Hermaphrodites are plants that produce both male and female parts these also need to be removed as they can still pollinate your females. Some people continue to grow hermaphrodites on there own elsewhere because if the bud is mostly female it can still be a reasonable smoke.
