I'm not sure if they've been mentioned already because I don't have time to go through all 10 pages of this thread at the moment, but Black Moth Super Rainbow is certainly worth a listen. Although they could just as easily be classified as Electronica, one can't deny that their music is extremely trippy.

Damn I love Dead Meadow. I have their newest album, but I neeeed to get all of them. Anyone have a favorite or favorite song of theirs? I want to actually pay for it to support them and want to know where to continue.

Oh yeah, and the Nymphs are apparently reforming and going to release something in the future. They're a really good sludgy punky grungy psychedelic band that released one really awesome CD in the 90's.

Hey, what a coincidence you mention them, I gonna see Dead Meadow this friday! Good band indeed, I don't really dig all of their songs but live I expect it to be a blast :). One of my favourite songs is Good moaning, great bluesy but heavy guitar parts on it!

Hey, yeah it was a good show. Only minor thing I found were the vocals. They are a bit repetitive and in my opinion not really good. It's alright in one song, but if the whiny voice returns every time sounding the same it gets a bit annoying. The groovy guitar compensated though, they ended with a splendid lengthy jam! And of course they played Good moanin half way :)

Yeah, I think they're more about the music than the vocals & lyrics. I usually don't like it that way but I'm a huge sucker for psychedelic guitar solos.

If it hasn't been mentioned, Godspeed You! Black Emperor is amazing. They are really indie based but are known for jamming out at shows and the average song is about 15 minutes. They have some really psychedelic songs, many of them including orchestra instruments and all are instrumentals. Very political bands aswell with bombs being dropped as album cover on Yanqui U.X.O. They are out of Canada comprised of *greatly* talented musicians and a favorite band of mine.

Yawning Man is a band I really would suggest you guys checking out. Completely instrumental desert/stoner rock with a sludgy psychedelic atmosphere and sound.

Check out the song Manolete. Its atmosphere is that of surfing after you just smoked a fat blunt to the face (on your own). They only made two albums before they broke up but were know for their live shows. They would set up in the middle of the destert outside Palm Beach CA and hundreds of people would show up to party and the band would jam all night long for free. Members of kyuss and Queens of the Stone Age have remarked them to be the greatest live band they ever seen.

Also thanks to who ever mentioned Dead Meadow, they really hit the spot. I am going to go out and buy some of their stuff (I downloaded Feathers).
