    Protest Song
    by Nathan Moore (copyright protected)

    It’s hard
    to write a protest song
    To love your enemy
    To know right from wrong

    its hard
    to know what to say
    in such strange company
    who did jesus pray
    while sending children
    to their graves?
    he was not a soldier
    no, jesus saves

    show me show me
    where he said
    that the righteous
    should be warriors
    that the wicked
    should be dead

    Oh, hypocrites,
    you boil my blood
    worshiping warplanes
    posing for good
    kneeling on sunday
    in your three-piece suit
    and commanding on monday
    your guns to shoot

    you’re worse by far
    than any i know
so how do i love thee
    How do i go?

    i sing for my living
and i sing for my lord
    i know a song
    can be a prayer
    i know a song
    can be a sword

    I know how hard
    it can be to choose
    oh, mr. president
    just looking at you

    its hard
not to write a protest song
    to love your enemy
    to know right from wrong
    its hard
    to know what to say
    in such strange company
    who did jesus pray?

somewhat new piece by my friends in Tha MuseMeant.
If you think music was born and died with 60-70s pop, you are in for a treat when your ears get out of your orifice.

I grew up listening to music from the 60's, 70's and 90's (which was the era I was growing up in) and so I liked it, and watch the bands on T.V jumping around on stage screaming and stuff, and so when I got into the Doors not too long ago, Jim is doing all that stuff and I'm not phased a bit by it cuz I grew up with it. My mom and I were watching The Doors Live in Europe 1968 dvd and then at the end I asked her if she liked it, she's all '....it's different....I still like The Beatles though....'. I was semi hurt by that since she was blind to the fact that I will always be a screaming fanatic of The Beatles. I have a right to get into other music too, not just the Beatles 24/7. My mom hates Elvis and I love him, etc....

there's so many bands too discover ...now i became a 65-75 fanatic too...
When i became it was just the stones, the beatles, the floyd then my bro was listenin the byrds while i was smokin an hashpipe (it was the third time maybe and the fist time with music)...it became a revelation...this night i listen too Beach Boys "Pet Sounds" , beatles "magical mystery tour", and Primal Scream "xtrmntr"... This night change my life...even if with pot even Britney spears music shine more(and u can feel the plastic production more than ever too) ...nothing can warm you like those psychedelic band...soon after i discover led zep, doors, Iron butterfly, the buffalo springfield, Traffic etc...
The road to adventurous music was definitly open for me...and now i still discoverin' great rock n roll bands and albums...

Great big sea is cool too
ofcourse classic is generally considered better, the good stuff is what survived (some shit did too but...) it's complicated
