I've lived in Keene for most of my life, and if it weren't for the presence of Keene State I'd be bored out of my mind. Keene State means college kids, which means a variety of substances to enhance this stuck-up town. You'd be hard pressed to find live music that isn't inhabited by a bunch of drunken red-necks talking about "boonin'" and snow-mobiling, if you're into that more power to you. Seeing as 32 kids had to be sent to hospital to get their stomachs pumped within the first week of this years college semester, you'd think the police would be pretty busy. This is not the case, Keene employs around 150 police officers, far too many for a city this size. This means they'll try and write you a citation for anything. The city itself is very aesthetically pleasing during the summer, but it's hard to enjoy the nature with all the police around if you know what I mean.
