ever hopped in a car that sparked when you touched the seatbelt cause the idiot was putting in speakers and kept a LIVE WIRE in the car and you and your flatmate nearly fell back into the trunk(boot?) cause theres no backing since the seat is gone?

oh man, my friend Mel and I were sitting on opposite ends of a sofa-seat in Vic's overbridge.. and i got up as it was time for class.. didn't realise that it unbalanced the sofa, and my end of the seat went up in the air, and she ended up sprawled over the floor.. right in peak hour student-parade-from-one-lecture-to-the-next time. Bahaha

anyway, so picture this: it's a bright sunny day. So sunny in fact, that the glare in your eyes when you cross the road is HUGE. So you stare into the sun, trying to see if anything is coming, and you think you see a horse and cart being driven towards you by a man and woman in Victorian clothes. Obviously you think it's a trick of the light, or a hallucination bought on by too little sleep and too much lift plus so you the world's biggest double take..and sure enough, there's a horse drawn carriage coming down George Street right towards you, being driven by a man and a woman in Victorian garb.

ever been really pissed cause people take up the seats with an internet connection when they have NO laptop so you had to wade through the library stacks? I found a great book, the closing of the american mind, though.

 

what the? Stay away from libraries. I think it annoys me more that Vic Lib has wireless internet but i don't think my laptop can handle their jandal. But some people in libraries annoy me though.. they bugger up the photocopiers just when it's your turn.. they sit super close to you when the floor is empty, and breath super annoyingly loudly.. but then again we play commandos in the library (4th floor at vic is, so far, best).. so it's fair.

and tamsyn, i know how u feel. I live in a house of 5. Me, and 2 couples.

Speaking about libraries.. ever finally managed to get the Lecturer's notes from the school office to photocopy, which in itself was a mission as they're ALWAYS taken by someone else.. so you get to the library, find a free photocopier.. only to find out you need to top up your copy card.. so you go down the 4 floors to the top-up machine, then head back up to the copy room to find someone's mucked up the copyphotoer! So you go all over the library to find a free copier without a big queue, and there isn't one.. so you give up and write the notes out by hand?

 

grrr sort of. I never give up though - I'm far too lazy to write them out.

ever mished home to be there by 3pm so that you can watch Care Bears? (yes it is the 80s original, oh yeah. tv 3, 3pm weekdays)
