Listening to some hip hop right now...that's a field I'd like to explore. Just currently listened to some Hip Hop Hooray oh by Naughty By Nature and I thought it was a pretty catchy track. Thinking of exploring some artists in the past and present right now. Can you guys give me a good list on where to start?

If you also include rap, your list will not be complete unless you give Tech N9ne a listen. He was absolutely the best rap lyricist (along with Eminem) I have ever heard. An old fave is the song Caribou Lou which is kind of naughty, but, well it's rap. That song will give you a good starting point.

 

Stevie Nicks was my other favorite femme singer of that era.
