my god am i the only one who just hated this movie? i thought it was more annoying than funny, and painfully boring. I almost fell asleep. There were a couple of parts i smiled at, but that's all. I had high hopes for this movie, i thought it looked awesome, but it ended up just pissing me off. I thought it was a waste of my time. But the whole world loved it, so maybe i'm the one with the problem....?
Lucky, I'm with you I really am. It was a dumb movie and am I the only one who got the theme? IT WAS MAKING FUN OF THE KID THE WHOLE MOVIE! THAT WAS THE THEME, "LET'S MAKE FUN OF A KID AND FILM IT!!!!!" Honestly, how low is that?
I got it for Christmas. It was the worst Christmas present EVER. All the people involved with the making of that movie should die. You have no problem, it's the world that has the problem. Comedies should have more than 5 jokes.
*smacks forehead and shakes in disbelief* if anyone is being made fun of in the movie it's Summer and her jock boyfriend It's a quirky experiment in surealism which celebrates the bizare. In this nowhere-ville the constraints of time and popular culture are lost and one is left with this bland and uncomfortable setting which brings meaning to the otherwise mundane and insignificant. It peels away vanity and image and forces you to take a deep look at these seemingly hopeless dorks which at second glance are unique and triumphant individuals. Fuck, Napoleons big dance scene has to be one of the greatest "in your face, up yours world" moment in cinima history. And Pedro getting class president says "fuck you racial biggotry, I'm living the American Dream". I just fucking loved it, every frame of this film has something darkly humorous and embarrasingly laughable in it! The audio patchwork of casio keyborads and random flies, the anti-climactic shot progresions, it's just brilliant!!! Every second of it!
napolean rocks my socks!! thats all i can say... i can quote lines, and go on and on, but plain and simple... it kicked major blockbuster ass!! now i want some tots....
the first time i saw it i was dissapointed with it b/c i was expecting it to be a drama - like a charecter study of why he wasen't popular - ....but once i got it on dvd, i really apprechiaed it.... although i don't agree with some of the humor = or the fact that they showed chickens in a cicken factory... i don't eat meat, so that part was a little scary.
see this is why i still continue to love you, despite your foul attitude towards me When i realized i hadn't asked for it for christmas i was pissed, then i saw it for the first time the other day and thought, my lord, thank god i didn't get this for christmas. Man, what a waste of present space. I'm glad i'm not the only one who didn't like this movie....it's not that i thought it was morally wrong or anything, except that gross chicken stuff...that made me sad....and the cow thing, but yeah anyways, i just thought it was really unfunny, and i think EVERYTHING is funny....anyways, yeah, worst movie of 2004 by far.
What's wrong with showing chickens in chicken factories? If anything it serves to prove how inhumane and industrial the process is.
i don't know if this has been said, but it would have been better if it ha been a cult classic...and why are peples school selling t-shirts...you should make them with iron ons if you want to be cool
ummmm........ okay If you ever see it, right afterwards go to Google and search 'Truth Fahrenheit 9/11'
