I have a friend names Ashlea, and people assume its pronounced Ash-li-a, and she hates it. She wants it to be spelt Ashli or something

I don't like when guys are named Kristen. And I don't like the name Cody :S

 

I used to work with a girl named Aisling. It was pronounced "Ash-ling"

i think, of all of them, abby and sage drive me the most crazy. when were in durango, all the whole foods hipppy moms named their daughters abby and sage. kai was in a class with nothing but sages and abbys. it's not the names themselves, but the parents, really.

I agree. I've babysat an Abbey (short for Abigail) and Sage. The Sage was an absolute terror and Abbey was quite cute & independent but a very demanding child. Parents of Sage came home late and drunk too often, screamed at yelled at them about step-parent issues in front of me, and had more money than brains. Abbey's parents had too much money too and she went to a Montessori school where she learned to play chess at the age of 5. Ugh.
