i called my electric bass gordon..because the first bass player i ever heard was sting from the police and gordon is his real name...my acoustic bass is called nash. the night before i found it i was sleeping after amoking some pot with my friends, and i dreamed to talk to Nash from CSN&Y . he was telling me to steal a little brick and to put it into a vase like it was a plant. he also told me to give it some water , just like it was a flower or another living green thing. that morning i woke up and in a shop i found it, a beautiful second hand acoustic bass who was waiting for me. i bought it and called him nash.
I dont know I found this pic on a hippie sticker site here is the link http://www.purplemoon.com/ Its a cool site It has good sig matrial.
since in italian the word "guitar" is feminine and "bass" is masculine, i always feel like a bass is "HIM" and a guitar is "HER"
Haha... I touched graham nash's foot once while he was onstage and he looked at me with the funniest face.
yeah same thing in spanish, bass is masculine, but my bass has this femenine feel, her slender purple body, her delicate but strong neck, her supple strings that just vibrate when are touched....lovely!
I call my favorite synthesizer the Mighty Wave. It's a Korg Wavestation EX and it is a wonderful ambient space dream machine. I don't have names for my other electronics or drums, tho...
uhuh..i can imagine his face! what is NOT funny at all is my sister bought her ticket to Crosby and Nash at Rome's auditorium while i was in bed with the flu and when i was better, it was sold out. she said it was amazing ..
I named my trombone MARIAH, which means wind. My electric violin is named ELEKTRA. I just have to name everything!! My first car was named Cobain... and my new truck.... well, what should I call it? I had a pipe named Wesley once.... Wesley Pipes.
hmm I thought I replied to this already... My Strat's name Is Tony Montana and my acoustic is Lyla.... I have yet to name my harmonica, but it'll prolly be something that starts with a C, then all my other harmonicas can have first letters that are their key as well........
I have a Yamaha Pacifica called Katherine (named after a close friend of mine who was killed in a car crash the day I got the guitar, just seemed appropiate), and a limited edition BC Rich Mockingbird with a 3 headed dragon paint job named Smaug (after the dragon from The Hobbit)
