Well now you have millions of people whining about traditional marriage being destroyed by divorce, homosexuals, etc etc... when there is actually nothing traditional (historically speaking) about marrying for love.

And then there's love, too. Love makes people do stupid and crazy things. Like getting married, for instance.

As the awesome Quincy Watson said in the movie Breakin' All Da Rules, "Love is insanity... breaking up, now that's a rational act."

 

That's really not true. Arranged marriages have never been extremely common in the Western world, and when the practice was engaged in, it was usually among certain classes of people, but was never the 'norm' throughout society. It was very common until very recently in Asia, and is still practiced extensively in the Arab world.

 

That's what I was getting at. It's moreso caste than a historical thing.

If it isn't meant to be that way than just look at a Canadian Goose. It's that simple. People tend to forget that people are animals, too.

Anyway, opinions change at some point or another...
