I know it would probably better for me to create a new thread in the philosophy forum or look up the information I need on my own, but does anybody here know enough about quantum physics to give me a brief summary about its implications on what we think we know? For example, what can it tell us about ideas like free will and the duality of mind and matter? To what extent does it challenge materialistic viewpoints? How much of it is total bullshit?
Yeah, because the contents of regolith is REALLY a dumb argument. you do not know of what you speak. all quantum physics tells us is how REALLY small shit behaves. like how normal physics can tell you how far a ball will go if you throw it with a certain amount of force quantum physics is telling you what is going on with the quarks in that ball.
Yeah, but I wouldn't be so doctrinaire. Half the threads here could fit into some other sub-forum with little to no traffic. And we're also interacting frequently, and it might be nice to hear opinions from someone you've exchanged ideas with before. I think what really annoys people are two things: pity-me threads; and truth-statement threads. And for obvious reasons, they request the approval of the reader.
Don't smoke. Secondly you remind me of the drunken stoner dipshit at the party that attempts to explain to the physics major how time travel is super possible. Anyone could have regurgitated that same "theory" you just shat out by spending 2 hours reading "A brief history of time." Your entire persona is a pretentious pseudo-intellectual idiot, who tries to trick strangers on a hippy forum into thinking he is smart.
"then post arguments that are always as intelligent as "you're gay" or "fuck you" and I get pissed because that's a shitty argument." You can't have it both ways cowboy.
Hey, I haven't read this thread and unless it gets desperate, I don't plan to. But, lunarverse is consistently one of the best posters around.
as I said the molecules that make up matter is a lot of it. Where they go when the aren't 'here' why do they go. How tangible are they really? It also goes over things like: how much of matter or 'things' is made up of atoms and molecules...the rest is just empty space and yet it forms a solid opaque object.
You're also guaranteed at least one racist joke in whatever thread you post here. The women are sexy too.
All I was saying man is that I'd rather someone argue something with really intellect rather than just call me a tool or whatever. If think that, thats fine, but say so else where if you can't respond to the shit being posted in the thread because you have no real knowledge of it. In other words if you're bored find something more creative to do
dude I wasn't justifying anything...it's just a theory...a very new, undeveloped one. Thats all it is
I actually like the OP's random thought. And I really dislike how everyone reacts to it, kind of upsetting when it's just a thought, a good one i have to say keep it up man, RT is the toilet of this site.
You know why it strikes me as pretense? Because it seems to me you're trying to cloak your feelings with a "real intellectual argument." But I don't see such things a cerebral arguments that prove anything. At best, they are a description of particular observed phenomena with no truth-claim. You're trying to make anti-scientific leaps (truth-claims) making use of scientific data. Maybe if you told us about why the thought of divinity and parallel realities is important to you personally, people wouldn't jump on you. My two cents.
Okay, but following the context of what you said which is crazy by the way. It wouldn't make 'every living being' god. It would make every particle god. And then what's god according to you? Energy? Are you just calling matter god? I still contend that physics and religion are bad bedfellows.
I came up with this on my own actually. Also time travel isn't possible and it never will be because time is a man made thing. You can not travel throught it, or any which way because it is not anything period. It is a made up thing in order to help people function. Unless man comes up with a way to make the planets rotate faster it's impossible. Also I'm quite humble. I don't think I'm intellectual at. I'm simply a thinker. That's all I do. I try to connect the dots. If you don't like it fuck you, fuck your shitty 'holier than thou' teenager attitude, and don't read my posts. I don't try to trick strangers, it's too hard. Not everyone is as fuckin cro-Magnon intelligent as you are.
