2 of my friends and this other kid all jsut dropped out of highschool because of wow they got nice and addicted
Shit, WoW may be addicting, but it's fun as hell when you're loaded. Dj, what realm and faction do you play on?
Could someone please explain to me, what the draw to World of Warcraft is? I hear you guys talking about it all the time and I know its a game, but what makes it so addictive? Surely something that makes you want to sit on your behind and stare at a screen for hours and hours must be something very exciting??? Please keep in mind that the last game I play was on the original Nintendo....and most likely I never made it past the second board haha : )
In a story out of Korea, which is just now surfacing in the Western press, a couple in Incheon, South Korea, were arrested last week when their 4-month-old daughter died after being left alone by the couple for hours. The mother and father reportedly had gone to a nearby Internet cafe, lost themselves in playing Blizzard's massively multiplayer online PC game World of Warcraft, and returned to their home only to find the infant dead from suffocation. "We booked the pair on criminal charges, judging that when you consider the situation, they were responsible for their daughter's death," a policeman told the Chosun Ilbo newspaper. The couple reportedly told police, "We were thinking of playing for just an hour or two and returning home like usual, but the game took longer that day." The infant was the couple's only child.
^ yea people in Asia have died before numerous times in internet cafe's due to gaming for like 5 days straight Anyways, mmorpg's which stands for "Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game" are not only a game, but a whole life, persona, world. I've personally played 2 of them fairly thoroughly, first and being definatly the most played by FAR is everquest which was simple an eye opening experiance to me, the first day i started i was thinking "Wtf..these graphics are shit" 2 days later: "These are the best graphics ever" but they are not even about the graphics to me it's gotten to the point where even if u dont like video games, i'd say you give this a try just for an experiance, if u ever actually get into it say "I'll create one character and go through the entire game as far as i can go then quit" it's an ever evolving world featuring your character as a role within a living role with a complex society, economy, hiearchy, you play a role in the events which unfold it might sound gay to some on read, but it's an experiance
haha I love you guys, we're all so stoned that we failed to look at the bottom of the post and though he had actually smoked meth hahahaha
My neighbors son only smoked meth for a year 17-18 and now he has to go to a heart doctor every week to get his heart checked because his valves are all fucked up. That shit fucks you up quicker than you think, even quicker than heroin just a lot of people OD from heroin.
You do know he didn't actually do meth right? I've been on a CS:S binge since last night, I just stopped playing about an hour ago.
yea whoops sorry haha i meant to reply to it but i was ripped and forgot I play on Bladefist server for Alliance, Night Elf Rogue named Wreckless in terms of Guild Wars being better, obviously it's not just due to that fact that it's free, what do u think the 15$ a month goes towards in WoW? yes obviously with that many people playing they can charge whatever they want, but it also does alot for in game events, and constant updates
GW is totally different than WOW. Guild Wars has a main story line with missions. Once you've beaten them there really isn't that much else to do. WOW on the other hand can be played for years, because you do whatever. PS> I have played both and liked GW more. But seriously, they are really hard to compare. And now back to oblivion
the thing for me with oblivion is that without being a mmorpg, rpg's are so one dimensional, no social interaction
