why does every one of your entries have to say "lol" or "haha"? is that you're way of trying to rub something in?
Cannabis is a beautiful plant, not an addictive drug. That kid that went to the hospital over it more than likely was an immature brat who freaked out.

Are you fucking kidding me? Addictive personality is a mental disorder. It has absolutely nothing to do with intelligence. You're BORN with it.

And screw all those goddamn schizo's losing their minds over acid. Just a bunch of stupid retards, am I right?

...hence the "lol's" and "haha's" .....my other posts was clowning u for saying that someone was "rushed" to hospital b/c he was a immature brat, what could the hosipital posibly do to stop that?! a 12 yr old who freaks out, doesnt usually go to the hospital, and even if he did, what would the hospital do to treat his "freaking out" episode? ...i might be wrong, but u dont make tad bit of sense.

yea theres really not much ppl can do when they are born with an addictive personality...
as u can see bloodynailpolish is still comfortably seated on mr. cannabis's nuts, and apparently she believe it give her an excuse to act like a bitch. correction, rehab is for quitters who had enoughf of having drugs fuck em over in different situations (i dont believe many ppl go to rehab for weed, but u never know), its for ppl who "dont" have a reality, or its for ppl whos reality is so altered due to all their brain fuckin up, that they dont knwo who they are anymore, they feel uncomfortable in their own skin, and they would like to stop depending on drugs for enlightment or a good feeling, if they are in a place where they are dependent on a plant or pills or what ever their doing to give them a feeling of being normal, or a feeling of "reality" than they are doing the right thing by going to rehab.

every person has some negitive effects to SOME EXTRENT, unless ur in wonderland.....
btw since when is something all postive? with no negitive effects? even caffein has a CRASH. since when is any drug all positive? with no negitive effects what so ever? ...it doesnt make sense, but if convincing urself makes u feel better about urself than more power to ya.

    peace

Welcome to the world of moderation. :)

What you failed to get from TNS is that even though there "might" be negative effects, to some individuals, they are negligable and are noteworthy only in passing. That said, same negative effect may be more pronounced in others.

So let us let this thread fade......... :)

the bodily harm on the lungs caused by the inhalation of smoke from burning plant matter and rolling papers and blunt wraps cannot be argued against. Smoking anything will have negative effects. So in that sense, yes, marijuana smoking does have negative effects on everyone.

No.....SOME people have negative mental effects, but not everyone does. Plain and simple. I've never had any negative mental effects from smoking marijuana, and there are plenty of other people who have never had any negative mental effects either. I'm not trying to dispute your argument that it CAN cause negative mental effects in SOME people; I'm just saying it doesn't happen to ALL people, regardless of how much they smoke.

Also, I'm not trying to convince myself of anything. I see no shame in knowing that EVERYONE'S mind reacts differently to THC, and not everyone experiences the negative effects you are talking about; Such as depression, anxiety, sleeplessness, etc. when they stop smoking weed. Also, not everyone has trouble quitting weed, regardless of how long/often they have been smoking. ALL of that is completely dependant on the individual, whether you choose to believe it or not.

I think YOU are trying to convince yourself that it happens to everyone because YOU don't want to admit to yourself that you became marijuana's bitch.

Hebrew.....You say that another one of marijuana's "bad" effects is that it changes people. Sure it changes some people, but not everyone. Who says change is necessarily bad though? For some people, the change brought on by marijuana is the most positive thing in the world, and weed can and does change some people in a VERY positive way. For some people, the change is negative, sure, but not everyone.

Music/art changes people; does that mean that music or art has negative effects on people? Religion, of any kind, changes people; does that mean it's wrong to believe in something? And yes.....I'm comparing marijuana to religion and art.

we already talked about this earlyier in this thread, so its going to be a waste of time for me to try to argue with u again! and again, u keep on changing up what i say........im done arguing with u. you dont make sense and u think that if u repeat what u say a zillion times than its going to become more effective.

I'm repeating what I say because you keep repeating what you say and not taking in to account what ANYONE else says, unless they agree with you.

okay inhaling anything, thats ANYTHING through smoke is going to effect ur body/ brain in some way. im done trying to argue, that marijuana has both positive and negitive effects in everyone, in some, positive effects are wayyyyy up there and negitive effects are barrely noticable and in others its vice verca, negitive after effects can b more dominant....thats all i was saying.....i mean if some ppl are messed up in the brain from a mental disorder to begin with such as Depression, than things might b different for them, but trying to apply that to the majority of the world, just doesnt make sense..

man....why is this such a suprise, thats what i dont get....weed is like any other drug, its the safest drug out there, on that we are on the same page lol, okay... as with any drug that is used on a daily basis, there is a crash b/c obviously ur body and brain gets used to it. to say that some ppl can smoke all day everyday and never experience a crash, or go through withdrawal symptoms just doesnt make sense. when u get high u have a good time? yes... when u get high daily u have a great time daily, pretty much?? yes. ur brain/ body has now adopted to getting high daily, its not rocket sience. now when u quit, ur body/ brain is gonna b like "wtf?", its going to feel like something is missing, hence after effects. altering ur body and brain on a regular basis can't be a healthy thing to do. so saying there is NO negitive effects at all in some ppl, is simply unrealistic.

again, im not saying there cant b positive effects from smoking weed, but saying that some ppl experience only positive effects doesnt make sense. if that claim was true so would me saying: "many ppl have negitive effects from weed, but some ppl smoke weed have decent positive effects, while others, have nothing but negitive effects the whole time" lol u guys would obviously b like "wtf? thats b.s." if that was my argument, and i agree! that is b.s.

Dude....that's not withdrawal symptoms. It's stopping a habit. A habit isn't the same as an addiction. A habit is when you get so used to doing something that, when you stop partaking in that particular habit, you become bored and just don't feel right because you're not doing something that you have become so accustomed to doing for so long. THAT is what a psychological addiction is.....a habit. Habits have more power over some people than others and that is where the problems come from; not the physical or mental changes. Duh:rolleyes:

^ Exactly, if your body and mind were completly separted , your body would have no withdrawal symptoms, but you psyche yourself out and then you have so-called withdrawals. Try doing opiates everyday for a month, and tell me that marijuana causes withdrawal.

aside from it being a habit, thc is stored in ur fat. smoking weed, whether it is just a habit or not alters ur body and brain. therefor, it is not similar having music in ur daily life as a habit, nor is it the same as following the beliefs of a religion... any addicition is not healthy, and altering ur body/ brain is not a positive effect in the long run, smoking is bad for u lungs lol therefor there are indeed at least some negitive effects in EVERYONE.

The fact that THC is stored in fat cells is irrelavent. That would only matter if it was physically addictive. That's just where it's stored while it's being metabolized out of your system.

It alters your brain chemistry and your body chemistry when you're high, and that's it. It doesn't continue altering anything when you are no longer high, because there is no physical addiction. I see no evidence in ANY of your posts that there are, in fact, negative effects for everyone. The negative effects that some people experience because of marijuana use is purely psychological and it has nothing to do with the drug, itself; rather, it only has anything to do with the fact that people get so used to using it and they don't feel right when they are not doing something they have gotten so accustomed to doing it. It has nothing to do with any sort of addiction or anything.....it is simply a matter of getting over the HABIT of smoking and being stoned all the time.

I don't deny that smoking anything can have negative effects on your lungs, but that's a given, and the lungs can actually repair themselves over time. Also, THC actually counteracts some of the negative effects caused by the carcinogens in weed smoke and tobacco smoke; I actually read a clinical study proving that people who smoke weed AND cigarettes have a smaller chance of getting lung cancer than people who smoke ONLY cigarettes. What about that shit?

If you're worried about the effect marijuana has on the lungs, read this:

"The Office of National Drug Control Policy has been spending millions of taxpayer dollars on advertisements and printed material declaring that marijuana causes cancer. The truth is just the opposite - marijuana can prevent cancer. Recent research has shown that the cannabinoids found in marijuana can not only halt the spread of cancer but can also kill cancer cells.

A study conducted in 2005 by Dr. Donald Tashkin at the UCLA School of Medicine demonstrated that people who smoke marijuana are at less risk of developing lung cancer than tobacco smokers.

The study of 2,200 people in Los Angeles found that even heavy marijuana smokers were no more likely to develop lung, head or neck cancer than non-users. In comparison, tobacco users' risk of cancer increases the more they smoke.

Data in Dr. Tashkin's study suggest that people who smoke marijuana are less likely to develop lung cancer than people who do not smoke anything at all. Since marijuana smoke contains the same cancer-causing agents as tobacco and the only difference between the nonsmokers and the marijuana smokers was their use of cannabis, then it is not an unreasonable hypothesis that marijuana can prevent the development of cancer.

In 2003, Dr. Manual Guzman at the Complutense University in Madrid Spain published a research paper entitled Cannabinoids: Potential Anticancer Agents. Dr. Guzman's research on the brains of laboratory rats found that the cannabinoids in cannabis inhibit tumor growth and are selective antitumor compounds, as they can kill tumor cells without affecting noncancerous cells.

Investigators at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health reported in January 2008 that the administration of cannabinoids halts the spread of a wide range of cancers, including brain cancer, prostate cancer, breast cancer, lung cancer, skin cancer, pancreatic cancer, and lymphoma. The report noted that cannabis offer significant advantages over standard chemotherapy treatments because the cannabinoids in cannabis are both non-toxic and can uniquely target malignant cells while ignoring healthy ones.

Is the evidence incontrovertible that cannabis can inhibit the spread of cancer, kill cancer cells and prevent the development of cancer?

No it is not - but doctors are telling millions of people to spend billions of dollars and ingest all kinds of supplements on way less evidence than there is to support the anti-cancer properties of cannabis.

When taking any kind of medicine or supplement, a person needs to decide if the claimed benefits of a product outweigh the risks. Many times the answer is no.

Cannabis is not one of these products, as there has never been a single death attributed to cannabis or any other significant debilitating consequences.

Further, the vast majority of cannabis users report numerous beneficial effects.

If cannabis can prevent the development of cancer, then the appropriate ingestion of cannabis is desirable in the same way that the appropriate ingestion of calcium supplements can prevent or at least delay the onset of osteoporosis. Since for the vast majority of people, cannabis has no negative side effects and only beneficial effects, it would seem that the regular appropriate ingestion of cannabis as a cancer preventative agent would be a prudent course of action."
