No. He is just saying it didn't happen the way you think it did.

I'm not saying a person can't remember all of that from kindergarten...but I highly question it myself.

Back when I was kindergarten age (I'm 60 now), we didn't have to go, most certainly not like it is required now.

I went there from Sept 1 (when school started back then) until Christmas break. Over the Christmas break, I decided I didn't want to go back. I wasn't bullied to the extent that is described in that LONG essay :D but it wasn't fun for me either. I was more ignored...by everyone, even my aunt the teacher.

So, when I announced that I wasn't going back, I wasn't made to. I'm also quite sure I didn't have to explain why, since most 4 and 5 yr olds don't have the vocabulary to express how or why they feel like they do, unless they are being guided by a teacher, psychologist, or similar - unlike the LONG essay of the OP. lol

Well, in our conservative culture, school is at most highly recommended.

I'm not so sure about our culture being that conservative...have you watched some of the movies lately? Or the ever-popular Kardashians, each with see through clothing to just plain selfie nudies? lol

Now the grifter-in-chief would LIKE for the USA to appear conservative; but, dang if I can understand why - he couldn't even name a single book that is actually in the bible.

ANYWAY...in this day and age and with all of the info that is crammed into our children's heads, much of it even being needed - I agree that kindergarten is highly recommended, and really needed for their success in school. Furthermore, I wish they would out-law this homeschooling! I know several kids that were "homeschooled" and it was just a sad and bad joke that those idiot parents were able to say they were homeschooling their children. Unfortunately there is no test nor requirement(s) in place for the parent (or whomever) is doing the homeschooling.

I'm aware there is supposed to be an online school that takes place for homeschooling; but, kids often need help that a computer simply cannot provide.

In Georgia, you only have to have a high school diploma to home school.

When I Used To Travel Up North To The Hippie Area Of Byron Bay, I Met Peeps Who Were

    Home Schooling Their Kids.

The Only Knowledge They Appeared To Have Was How To Pull On A Ty-Dyed T Shirt......

And Even Then They Didn't Appear To Understand How To Wash It......[IMG] .

But 4 Weeks Ago A Friend Who Has Kept In Touch With A Family I Met Tells Me The Son Has A

    Top Position In Brisbane.......[IMG]

    I Wish Him Well..... :)

    Cheers Glen.

Kids still have to pass a standardized test. If a parent isn't doing their job the kid won't pass and the state will step in.
My friend home schools his kid and his 13 year old boy is smarter than half the people on this site.

Yeah, I'm glad we had to go to kindergarten, or Giovanni might not even be alive today.
