My hair after rubbing it for an hour with a wool hat to help it dread up...

i hate when people judge dreads by whether they are natural or backcombed. yes, its a different look to the dreads. yes, one takes more time. but neither are "just" hairdo's. they are a lifestyle choice. either way it effects who you are and how you are treated by people. hell, it effects how the people who you hang out with are treated. i've gotten scolded for hanging out with guys with dreads (why they scold me and not them is beyond me).
i just wrote a huge essay on the matter. and no offense to everyone who's saying backcombing is lame, but i think its lame to judge someone on how they ended up looking like they look.

fucking hell, dreadlocks are (or is? the grammar escapes me) a hairdo. simple. it is how your hair looks, renedering it a hair do. its jsut harder to acheive and takes longer to do.

 

and makes a HUGE impact on how society treats you.. i dont know about you, but my hairdos dont usually do that.

 

my current one does. i regularly have people have a go and possibly look for fights,whilst thye tell me to 'get a hair cut ya fucking ginger bastard'

 

Its cool though because ginger people don't have feelings
