    ^^They can afford it and have others (roadies and what) to score for them.
    Its the lack of nutrition that usually degrades average heroin addicts life because they spend their every last dime on a fix... that is if dirty needles don't get em first. Heroin addicts can go a long ass time if they pay reasonable attention to thier health.
    Celebrity artists have a lot of people around them who have an interest in getting them up on that next stage or to the studio session or whatever...
    Sometimes they even have people around who actually love them helping to keep them fed and healthy, trying to "keep their head above water."

    Musicians and artists in general lead complicated and often troubled lives. A few eventually beat their addictions, conquer their demons and go on to make even more fantastic music...many don't and that is truly a tragedy. :(

    i've always wondered if there's a darker side to the industry...where they try to force addictions on their musicians to keep them subservient.
