my dreadyhair *timeline*

i love the side cut too - have been contemplating one for a while now, think i'll leave it for a few more months since we're about to come into winter here now so the extra warmth on my head will be good but maybe once summer rolls around again i'll do the same.. already have an undercut at the back though so i don't wanna get rid of too much hair!

Lovely as always Lux.. Makes me want extensions, do you think they would be okay if I swam with them a lot? Like if I use the human hair clips and dread em then sew them on. Do you think a lot of swimming would ruin them, because I wanted to do it before I go to Fl next month..

 

Liz~ if you use human hair in a dark color they'll be fine. if it's lighter could tinge green... tomato juice rinses straighten that up

Liz, don't use human hair for extensions, it's pointless as it's like 10x more expensive. If you go into african hair shops they have this fake hair they use for braiding and things. Buy two packs in whatever colour suits most (as you can see mine&my hair aren't exactly the same colour so don't be picky)
then you dread up the extensions, put a teeny bit of beeswax or whatever wax over them and use hair straigtners on them and they look like real dreads just run the hair straightners over them quick or else they'll melt. Then after your've made a good few start sewing them in. If you sew them in tight enough they'll be fine for swimming! I've swam in the sea with them they just will be heavier compared to your hair now...pm me if you have any more questions

I don't like synth hair but that's just me, cause they can melt and I don't think you can dye, can you??

felt is another option for dread extensions if you wanna get really crazy with colours and textures liz... PM me if you wanna know how to do it (and you can check my gallery to see how they look)

I would never use real hair, it's horrible to think where it came from. The synth hair is so easy to dread, real hair wouldn't work as well as it wouldn't mould together into dreads. It would just stay as knots.
