Had a go with a crotchet hook.. BIG mistake, ripped a chunk out of one :( I hate the hooks now, never ever would do that again, how people do that to their dreads I will never know...

    Right update time :)
Had a shit week, and started to blame it on my dreads!
I was so wrong, I washed with ACV and lemon etc, worked a treat :D Really happy with the results although alot are still waxy, they seemed to have shrunk alot and gone really natural in the last few months which is great:D
Here's a few arty pics, just got up so excuse everything including my non-existent mono-brow in one of the pics!
    Alex:)

I have a question P-meister. I began mine 6 months ago using the backcombing method and wax. I stopped waxing like 2 months ago. I have one lock that has completly come undone...and now I am terrified that they will all fall apart. How did you keep yours from coming undone without the use of wax????????

Hey Callie, you need to get out all the wax:) Use the deep clense/wax removal thread at the top of the forum;)
I combed mine for many months and used alot wax, after I first backcombed mine :( Which didn't help one bit, after I stopped combing and used the deep clense in the thread I mentioned ^^ they started locking up alot quicker :)
Don't buy any of these shit products like lock peppa etc from knotty boy or dreadheadHQ, its a con!
Wash your hair at least once a week or so I would say, if your that worried about them coming apart, put a stocking over them while washing.
Post some pics up so we can seen what we are dealing with!
    Good luck
    Alex
