The social aspect of it is way off. Society has changed in many ways. It has not changed in certain others. If you think all most women do today is watch soaps all day you're way off. Most don't have time, and not all have Tivo. -That's my point, right there, it's a different world.
We may react to some stimuli the same way, but women in American society have more rights now than we did then...When it was still socially acceptable to slap your wife around.
