I agree with you with what you said, and I wish I could encourage her to visit some other countries, and just change her mind about things, but she is too far gone.. really.

 

oddly enough there are still quite a few countries with respect for the US...although its frequently because the US doesnt say "no we wont help you" instead, we give many countries verbal support that leads them to believe that we are going to help them, but rather its just to maintain relationships...but many countries do hate the US, and many countries do still think we live in the greatest country ever

Well I wont say that I hate the US. I've never been there so it would be pretty ignorant of me to say I hate it but I wouldnt want to live in a big country like that..although I have a feeling that when I do make it over there I wont be too impressed

Theres this project for 4th years in my school aswell where they send 5 people to Calcutta with the hope foundation to help at homeless shelters and to see where the money from the hope foundation goes

It's bigger than the us but we have a very small population so it's nice and cozy.

I think America has too many people, that's why it's so miserable.

 

im a religion major with focus on peace building, i went there to study about tibet and the tibet/china conflict. during the semester i studied: tibetan language, tibetan culture/civilization, and tibetan buddhist philosophy. i then wrote a 50 pg research paper on a Peace March in conjunction with the olympics as a means of attracting or generating a desire to resolve the conflict. INDIA is amazing and incredible, but at the same time we must keep in mind that the gap between the extremely wealthy and the dirt poor is huge...very few in between.

just to learn how people live in other countries is important. for example i was in himachal pradesh (northeastern province) where the Tibetan exiled community lives, at the foothills of the Himalayas during the winter. We had no heat. NONE. and it got COLD! there were times i didnt shower for days cuz i didnt want to remove my under armour. the longest i went was 10 (yeah i can be a dirty mother fucker if i have to). i took bucket showers blah blah..

idk what your friends financial status is...but perhaps one day when you are able to travel or live abroad she can come visit yuo...idk my best friend was the opposite, born in china but raised all over the world. when i met her i hadnt been anywhere except right inside canada and mexico...i wasnt all Pro America. I wanted to see the world, but seeing the world changed me, and i will say for the better.

have you been anywhere? you should definitely go to india...but give yuorself some time there for sure!

man all i can say is if shes your best friend, she thinks she is helping you by giving you such blunt and bold advice. but you know yourself better, perhaps via dialouge you can begin to open her eyes.

haha nah but canada...fuckin candaians --- just kidding i know very little about canada...but i met a shit ton of canadians in india...and from their stories i learned that your government, while perhaps in ways, more liberal...is more fucked/corrupt...you guys basically couldn't change anything if yuo wanted to (maybe dealing with leaders only)...not that we as americans could very easily either...but idk if im making sense, prolly not cuz in all honsty i dont remember it too well...if any candian wants to fire back at me feel free

 

no...actually he sold us 10 grams for 200€ when we were supposed to be getting 20 grams....5 of us were in it though and the guy driving drove to his house and knocked on his door. When his dad answered he said "sorry is your son home? he owes us 100€ for drugs" hahahaha his dad called his son out and asked if it was true and he looked like he was going to shit himself...then his dad punched him in the face well worth 100€..knocked him out cold

WOW!!! thats harsh..... I didnt read all the pages but man that is some fucked up shit!!!!! Just shows how simple minded some people can be..... but ya cant let it get you down but be happy that you dont think that way....
