when your dealling with people whos mental capacity or immaturity or drug induced stupor limmits theyre ability to respond to simple questions or points of view, to nonsence statements all you can do is throw up your hands in frustration & scream in theyre faces "wtf man dont you get it?" often it feels like talking to the lobotomized.. you could tell them the buildings on fire & they sit there with a blank stare drool dripping from theyre chin & theyre only responce is "im horney" & you scratch your head & think, oktheyre able to talk & express simple ideas, irrelevent as they may be but theyre unable to grasp the fact that "dude the buildings on fire" may have alittle more importance then just an excuse for them to utter the first few syllibles that come to mind, meanningless sounds whos only purposes is to prove theyre ability to speak..
its at that momment that you watch them consummed in the flames of ignorance that you want to scream "dude you mother fucking idiot your hairs on fire what the fuck is wrong with you???"

Someone asked why you were arguing with people all the time now...and I dont see it as arguing at all..I see it just as you said..
fed up with peoples stupidity. You can only sit around and read it for so long before you just have to comment on how fcking stupid people are, or how stupid they are becoming..and sadly..lately around here..I am seeing more and more stupidity than anything else I realize this is the stoners longue and not everything has to be serious..hell, I would prefer everything to not be serious...but just because it isnt serious doesnt mean it should just be downright idiotic.

But seriously..i rarely see anything of substance around here. all the really meaningful posts get pretty much skipped over while the posts of people saying things like "dude i got so stoned this weekend i smoked like a quarter of some dank blah blah blah" gets like 15 pages of replies. i dont understand it. i guess i really dont understand why mental substance doesnt seem to appeal to the majority of youths.. dunno:toetap:

I like sillyness and being stupid a lot too sometimes..its fun and carefree..but it shouldnt be the only things ever discussed y'know.
When someone mentions something of substance it shouldnt be shot down or made fun of.
Im also not too sure whats up with the constant arguing from some people..its like no one can post anything without certain people coming in behind them and acting like they are soooo much better than they are and belittling them for sharing an idea or opinion...ahh..i dunno..

the internet is a haven for people who feel bad about themselves to project their insecurities onto people who they dont know personally and will more than likely never have any personal dealings with, so they feel they can do it without feeling guilty or really caring because, to them, people are just a name on a screen and sort of dont exist in their own mind.
im so tired im delirious, obviously lol.

 

all i can say is it must be because shools out for summer, they shut of the mind till they need it again, they sit around bored with nothing to do

they think theyre smoking to stimulate theyre minds & make everything in the universe more interesting, yet thought provoking posts challenge them to turn theyre minds back on, but the stimulation of the mind they sought has a very interesting effect. instead of making everything more interesting as it should (when the mind is turned on) it has the effect of making only the siplest things more interesting & the thought provoking becomes tediusly hard to understand or respond to. "dude i just coughed so hard i puked" is interesting because you can say any stupid thing you want in responce "eww it stinks in here" mission accomplished the brain was mildly entertained for a whole 2 seconds. at the same time a post that provokes thought like a detailed history of the origins & use of chilums which should interests stoners invites you to discuss a broader spectrum of ideas but with a specific focus on chillums. this requires opinions, alitle understanding of the concept & the ability to express a thought more complex then "pack me a green hit i want to get stoned"

ofcourse some people are only confortable in the realm of mindless statements

 

it is always more simple and acceptable to the masses to go with the crowd, to conform instead of creating your own ideals and really challenging the mind no wonder the state of the world is the way it is.

Many people on these forums have a lot of well thought out and intelligent arguments and age doesn't come into that. And like I said before, I'm quite young myself (or at least I like to think so), I'm (only just) closer to your age than I am to soaringeagle...

I wasn't insinuating that all people your age are obsessed with physical possesions just that the culture of the latest gadgets etc has spawned such poisonous 'I've got mine and he's got his' attitudes. People not wanting to listen to the opinions of others and disagreeing just to disagree not because they can actually articulate themselves with reasons for their attitudes: Again, another symptom of this me me me tv video game attitude, not having to think or be imaginative; short attention spans. I want and I want now and not knowing how to behave when they don't get what they want (or the desired response)


The reason people will keep pulling the "it's just 15 year olds smoking pot" line is because they are conforming to that dumb stereotype left, right and center. If people were to rise above it and behave tolerantly and with tact then people wouldn't throw that line around so much... I'm sure there's plenty of 15 year olds who can be wise and thoughtful and plenty of older people who can't but in here it just seems like many enjoy living up to the stupid stereotype and are judged thus.

I know, I know, forgive them for they know not what they do and all that but it's very frustrating talking to brick walls that can only spit insults back as SE put nicely in post 241.

When lorna was telling people to "stfu" it was after banging her head against a wall for 10 pages because no-one had actually listened to her and just took the piss out of her english (an irrelevant subject).

i guess you could say to some the internet is a connection to many others, but for others its a saftey zone, a disconnection from the reality of other people a sence that they are less real for being virtualy there with you

Ive got quite a bit of respect for a good few of you guys posting here, and I think this argument is so beneath you all.

Id like to take the time to remind everyone here that NOTHING that is said here on this forum should be taken personally because regardless of what anyone says about you, no matter what insults they throw at you...IT DOES NOT CHANGE THE REALITY OF YOUR SITUATION OR WHO YOU ARE.
So it really shouldnt matter. It certainly shouldnt matter enough to seriously disrupt any sort of harmony here.

People are going to be people. People are going to insult, and diss, and what have you..
Thats just human nature. Most of these things..we just have to take with a grain of salt because they really dont matter.

You guys be good. Harmony is always better than disharmony..so..if someone insults you, either say what you have to say back if you really have to reply and then be finished with it..or just ignore it altogether, because negativity should never be given this much attention.
