musical instruments that you don't embrace

Well how bout that! I've qlways thought it was 'juice harp.' I even own a couple of them....

Ive never heard someone say they're a guitarist. I just don't think that term is used much.

 

Yes, it's used A LOT.

Guitar player: amateur
Guitarist: professional

Maybe you just know a lot of amateurs?

 

It's rare to hear someone say 'drum player'.

Drummist isn't in thefreedictionary. Not sure if it's even a word.

Still seems peculiar it isn't a word (or it's a very rare term), even though the 'ist' ending is used for many other instruments, such as percussionist.

 

But there's 'trumpeter' or 'trumpet player'.
