MTV.. dumbing down america one kid at a time

A friend I was staying with over the weekend had MTV playing - who the hell is this Audriana Partridge?! How did she get her own reality show?! Did I miss something? Is she talented? Is she attractive? Is she smart?! God I felt progessively dumber the longer I watched it!

 

I have always been ticked at MTTV because it is so all out materialistic. It doesn't do anything but make people want want want. It also puts a pretty face to all sorts of violence and ignorant behaviour. There is no glorification of knowledge or education, spirituality, or of love.

I am from LA and when I was a teen I was able to do extra work in many MTTV dance shows. They were empty. I knew from the inside how empty those shows were. So I never looked at them from the surface, but there are loads of people who believe TV. It's hard to believe but it's true.

Part of the joy of my life was finding out that life is different from television.

 

MTV,"Wrestling",Maury,Springer,O'Reilly,Hannity,Limbaugh,Fox "news"--------there's your American "culture". An ignorant populace is a compliant populace. Easy to manipulate. Think the education system is failing by accident?

 

I have gotten to be pretty annoyed by TV, even when my wife watches "Next Food Network Star" which is not even close to the worst thing on, I wish I could move the area where I work on electronics and crafts to another room. Even though I don't care about a show they have a way of drawing your attention, and after you watch one it feels like the time has just vanished from you.

 

Didnt read the whole thread, sorry, thought it might just depress me, but for the HUGE OVERWHELMINGLY majority, MTV (Music Television) <-----where the music @? lol but yes, MTV is mostly utter shite these days.

 

I have not watched MTV in years, the last straw was that disgusting show "My super sweet 16". Nothing but a bunch of rich spoiled brats being rude by their over indulging parents.

 

Yup its all garbage on MTV (All the ppl that work there must be reprogrammed idiots to support that crap!)
