    I agree with Psygrunge.

Though i do use limewire, and my pc is opperating fine... ofc its only for individual songs. Torrents are the best. Utorrent is what i use mostly.

    Hellz yes

Torrents are alright, but if you don't want whole albums, or you want to control the size of the files I think things like Ares work better, that's one problem I have with torrents, the files are normally huge and space is a premium on my computer

I think we should start a thread where people just upload shit, it'd be a great way to find new music and if theres something you can't find, maybe some here has it. you never know. i'd totally be down for that but i dont want to be the only one uploading shit.

Yeah torrents are nice, but I understand some people don't like to download full albums or discogs (why is beyond me :D). Frostwire or soulseek would be your best options for single file downloads. Torrents really aren't hard at ALL though so I would recommend setting up a good client program and getting a demonoid account.

Saves room and time basically, normally 96% of albums there's at least 2-3 songs on it I could do without

Yea demonoid is good for gettign torrents, for sure, I will have to check ares out though, I am sick of having whole albums and no space for them, I am surprised my comp hasn't croaked yet.

checked that shit out and I am in there in a few weeks, thats a good fuggin deal.

You can selectively download the songs in the torrent with utorrent or Vuze, so you could get the album minus those 2-3 songs.

yea you can do the same with bitlord that I use, but it's still the fact torrent sizes are normally huge, if it works fine I'll use torrents, but otherwise the same album that I'd download on Ares winds up being 2-3x the size memory wise

Ah that sucks, I like the ability to download entire albums in lossless or FLAC format, but that would obviously be a good example of the huge file size you are talking about. However to me quality is the number one concern and I have never been let down yet by the quality I find on respectable torrent sites. I can't say the same for some of the files I have gotten from soulseek.

It'd take up a hell of a lot of bandwidth (we can't even embed youtube videos in threads); let alone the piracy issues involved.
