dude amsterdam is so not overrated my cuz was there he said it was everything its hyped up to be, and me and my friend are going there in a year. i would definately consider moving there
Pardon? Fair enough, it just seems an alwful lot of expense and traveling to see a French/British McDonalds - they all look the same you know. Ok...see you soon. :cheers2: I went on "Holiday" for a while
Wow I should kill myself for even having the nerve to type such a stupid sentence. Proofreading is good. I mean I can't really imagine living anywhere that wasn't America. Not that it's better than anywhere I just can't picture it. I hate McDonalds i'm so tired of having food from there my stomach turns just thinking about it. Besides Europe has more than that. If it doesn't i'm going to have to write a letter. If I do visit it'll probably be six or more years.
Europe does have plenty more to offer. most people get jaded about their hometowns/countries though, and what someone considers "nothing special," someone else might consider as being very special indeed.
I hope so to. It'll be hard though. It's not like I can just print the money in my basement to go though.
Definitely go to Europe. I dont think I'll ever move somewhere else. Maybe to another European country...That'd actually be nice.
Agreed... I don't want neither of you nice Americans to hate me for saying this, but on my travelings I've met people from all over the world and so far America is my least interesting place to visit.....I'm sorry, but that's the way it is....
i have too much to see here yet. it's like 50 countries all wrapped up in one. not that i wouldn't move to europe at all, it's just unlikely. home sweet home and all that. i'm pretty excited about the drop in european tourists, having worked and lived in various tourist traps, it was my experience they were a roving pack of snotty dicks. seems like most of the ones who committed to hanging out for a little while were more open, friendly and less xenophobic. of course, you get those who make a reputation for themselves out of being snobs about everything american. likely they end up surrounded by other people who hate it here, too, like that kid in the 9th grade who visitted england for a couple weeks and came back with an accent. but i would love to have an extended period of time in several places, getting to know people, not just landmarks, you know?
I do know. America is huge and i've seen only a tiny fraction of it. I want to see everything. I've been to both coasts and seen both oceans. I think I can start inward now.
I believe it. I just hope I get the chance. What frustrates me is the lack of being able to afford to do things. God only knows if i'll ever have the funds to go to landmarks in this country much less to Europe.
yeah. that's a big problem for me. the flight over alone, when i have a family and a daughter in a very expensive gymnastics program, a home, etc., is just not quite within my means. maybe someday.
America (what tiny bit I've seen which is basically some of vermont) seems a pretty cool place.. BUT y'all are way way too uptight about drugs. I mean seriously, 10 years in jail for posession? WTF guys.
dunno. i haven't actually seen anyone spend that much time in jail for possession, and i've known LOADS of people in possession get caught.
I'd have thought we're more laid back about drugs. Holland is the best ( most laid back) for it. Britain , small possession is ok. But start holding big quantities and u better start befriending cops. The problem with continental EUrope is they wont speak English ( inconsiderate bxxxxards: ) Some people are seduced by the scenes of floodlit cathedrals , cafe culture and shit , but find it aint so fun in reality. I just speak louder and add an O to the end of everything when I'm in spain. Beer_O , Chips_O Hell
