Most over-rated Drug

Coke...everyone was saying how it makes you feel invinsible, everything you see is sharper, you feel so energetic, my mom (who tried it once as a teenager) said it was the best high of her life. So yeah, my expectations were pretty high, then I tried it, then...nothing. Like it kept me awake with everyone else at the bar until 9am, but I didn't actually *feel* any different. Kinda a let-down.

 

I would say opiates. I always thought H would be the biggest, baddest mofo drug out there, and when I finally tried it, I was amazed at the subtlety of it. I tried opium derived from poppy straw, too, and it was basically an inferior version of alcohol's euphoria. The only upside is an alcohol-like glow without the sloppiness of booze.


DXM was pretty worthless, IMO, for recreational use, but created a profound look at my existence in a ego-annihilating way. Useful, but not fun. Also, DXM has value in treatment of addiction in much the same way iboga does (I can personally attest to this.)

Salvia is, hands down, my fave psychadelic. Music on Sally is amazing! I've become convinced that Salvia's effects on an individual person are unique.

 

ecstasy- even though its a alright high I would rather buy a gram of coke or a few bags of herion or some other strong opiate. I feel way better on coke then I do X. Also For those of you who said coke is overrated I just can't get over that you must be immune to the high or you must be getting coke that is cut 95% Baby Laxative and 5% coke ? coke is a amazing high you feel great. Not to many other drugs out there make people drain there whole bank account in a few weeks just to get that feeling again like coke !!!!

 

DXM, Alcohol, and until I get a good pill MDMA/Ecstasy

 

i'd have to say X....i mean its alright but just not enough for the money...coke is amazing as hell if you get good shit...but waaaaay overpriced and it leaves me wanting more and more and more...

 

man anyone who says ecstasy is overrated obviously has never had good shit

 

most of the coke i see is shiite, so I don't even bother buying usually. BUT when it is legit snow it is a very worthwhile thing.

Alcohol.... I like having a couple beers/mixed drinks in a night, but I never get completely inebreiated from alcohol alone because it is the only thing that has EVEr made me sick to my stomach.. Yea I am sort of a lightweight but oh well.
Alcohol also deteriorates motor functions more then any other drug I have taken.


DXM... don't like the high, it doesn't feel pleasureable to me.

40 15mg? i have friends who have done equivalent of 70 15mg. 70 = total detachment from anything and everything. it is like pointless to be conscious at that stage of dxm.

DXM is handsdown the worst decision i have ever made. hell, nutmeg was a better decision than dxm. When you are drinking cough syrup to get fucked up, just think about what you are doing for like 5 seconds. I am sure many people have learned many interesting psychedelic things about DXM, but that after doing for almost a year straight, i realized i learned nothing at all and took nearly 6 months to totally get myself completely back together off of it.

 

dimensiontripping- I could have not said it better then that. You are so dam right, Taking cough syrup to get high has to be the slimest and most disgusting way to do any substance out there. I am sorry I would rather tell people I used a needle to do drugs then admit to drinking cough syrup to get high.DXM is in the same league of huffing paint or glue to me. I remember the 2 times I tried the shit when I was 15. I don't think I have ever felt as burnt out and sick on all the crazy drug runs I have done in my day like I have the day after I downed that shit.It took me like 5 days to a week to feel normal again.You are so right that shit fries your brain to know end. All in all its just nasty shit !!!!!!!!

 

You guys are retarded. It's not any more disgusting and the nasty fucking trucks that ship your drugs over here. IT's just a chemical, that happens to come in syrup form. That is all.

I just look at it from a totally different perspective and I almost never trip. What about taken DXM through Zicam? It's about a shots worth and has 390 mgs (only dxm in it), there's no chuggin syrup about it. Agent Lemon DXM? It's pretty much pure in that form, what's your opinion of that?

 

Hey to each there own maybe some people like that nasty shit but my whole opinion of DXM no matter what way you take it is nasty and will never change. First off its not a trip at all there is nothing at all that resembles a psychedelic drug or experience if anything its more in the lines of the drug class dissociatives like K and Dust. The high is like a qualude or massive Benzo high mixed with special K or a bad alchool black out nothing like A trip at all. And second its just plain old nasty and real scummy if you are older then say 15 that is any one under the age of 14 or 15 I will give them a brake I know its hard to get real drugs sometimes other then weed when you are young. It reminds me of something little kids do when they can't get real drugs.Shit if you are over 15 I would hope you could find real drugs that bring on better effects so you can trip for real !!!!

 

I agree. Beyond the method of getting the dxm in your body, the dxm itself, no matter what form which will produce the same high, is so vile and gross. the whole experience is terrible and gross. I have done PLENTY of different psychedelics but dxm was the only one I ever had trouble recovering from.

 

alcohol just cause it's legal. i mean, people think it's alright then go and bash the other drugs. i'd much rather take some e at a party then get drunk and make a fool of myself.

 

ive only had good experiences with dxm. saying that its a nasty drug is just stupid. Saying its dirty? i dont understand how its dirtier than anything else. In fact its cleaner than most substances because its created in a legitimate corporation lab, instead of some random creeps drug lab. The trip can be pretty awesome, and i have taken things from it. comparing it to acid is dumb, they arent similar at all. It comes down to the fact that we all dont have the money and resources to be doing acid, ketamine, shrooms, dmt and more high profile drugs all of the time. Its a drug in of itself, and is usefull and entertaining.

coke- the high can be great, but it must be used over and over, and its far too expensive.

 

Technically i would say alcohol. It's much more commercialized but I'm not sure what you mean. Other than that either ecstasy or cocaine are falsely represented and over rated. On the other hand I would say that ketamine is under-rated, along with nitrous oxide, and of course marijuana, who doesn't get nearly enough attention.

 

Cocain! What a load of crap £40 for a gram of snivles and verbal dhioreah. Extacy is 100 times better and a minute fration of the price.

 

How you guys overrate salvia is beyond me.

Salvia got me to some other dimensions very easily. It got me to extreme states of ego loss very easily
Although it was easily one of the most terrifying experiences I've had.

But to say overrated? I don't understand, the intensity and pertinence of the visions was pretty much on par with LSD. Just, far far more terrifying.

I would definanetly rate it the most terrifying psychadellic. The psychadellic that I'm least likely to seek out. But this is not because it's "not enough" because its overrated. It's because its FAR too much far too quickly.

All of you that are overrating salvia. Did you actually get over into the 'salvia world'?

For overrated drugs. I'd definanetly say alcohol. Cocaine is a piece of shit too. But alcohol bothers me more. Like cocaine is just meh, neutral, whats the point. Alcohol actually goes into the negative sides a bit for me.
