day turns to night, the droning darkness hides shapes and shadows of things past feels the goblin as he looks out across the lightly lit city of geneva, "...cold is king then..." he thinks aloud to himself alone with his thoughts "...and in the cold of night comes these ghosts, god I hate them as much as they must hate me too, they won't die till I do, I know that, and my mother's passing brings them back from where I thought I buried them inside..." the goblin's mind went back to his first marriage then, of letting go a little girl's hand and saying "...mummy and daddy are not happy..." and then the formalities of separation with an ex wife and a daughter of his first marriage at an ever acceptable distance, and each with new lives and partners, each understanding that "it was the only way", "the right thing to do", "one can't live a lie now can one", etc.," but the goblin also knew that no amount of understanding puts this ghost to rest, time hadn't here, and he was struggling to say what he saw now "...so a death in the family puts family members back facing one another again..." said the goblin "...just our unspoken ghost will be sitting between us three I imagine, while we pretend to be nice to one another..."

I just finished working in my shed making a tremelo arm out of 5.5m steel rod for my Ibanez.
I find the standard one too short, and too close-set.

ya, pretty much.. there isnt a way I can get the nut off , unless I remove least 4 tiles, and hope the pipe has some give to it. If I can get it out and inch and cut it. I can solder an extension piece to it. i tried torch in the nut til it was red, cant break it. pipe cutter will not reach, just not enough pipe coming out the wall. these tiles havent been caulked for years, so they should just fall off giving some pressure. I hope they dont break. Ill need to replace them with different colors. trying to do it with little damage and extra work..

Can you not try to squeeze a long nose vice-grip in there?

I dont know how you broke it, but it must have been a fun shower! haha

Ive got it off.// Finally.. and Im not very happy sweating while in a shower stall.. Ill shorten the work by adding a compression connection..

there is metal round knob that the shower head connects to. it makes it pivot. it just blew off the pipe. how I dont know. the rubber seal inside allowed it to slip off, because the washer crumbled.. the chrome goes all the way into the wall. but i can get to the copper now. ill solder later. I just want a shower now. :)

    Yep-gotta say Shiv,I'm a big fan of the F/R.
I keep hearing bleaters bleat, always about how difficult they are to re-string.
    Conkers!
So,an hour spent re-stringing [I use silver flatwound 10s] and 2 mins with the electronic tuner, then awaaaaaay yer go.

My original Tele is fixed bridge,[nuffing wrong wiv that-the tone and sustain on it are astounding]but my Tele copy [a Johnson] has a F/R with trem arm, that I spent 4 days putting on and drilling for the thru-body.

That axe is amazing-I run an echo chamber AND a wahwah pedal with it and it really is bloody amazingly versatile. I think it cost the equivalent of $170,and the bridge I had just kicking about. Maybe I should've taken up bongos, coz I've got 14 guitars & 3 large amps taking up all the space, plus lots of bits/parts etc everywhere. + harmonicas, keyboards, wind instruments,et al.

At least with a set of bongos I could just keep 'em in a corner.........:guitarist::guitarist:

So...we try to love one another as best we can on the temporary meeting ground.

A nuanced and wistful rendering of common truth.

In my analysis, the goblin's posts are (1) random and (2) facts about himself. Where's the problem?

rf: I now have a laptop computer for my (paid) work in the office, which means I can undock it and take it home evenings and weekends...which is what I'll be doing a lot for the next few weeks while I try to complete a computer app development project. My HF social life may suffer for a while.
