He was a "Chrstian" because he didn't want to die.

 

Actually, he was Christian because he believed in God.

 

How do we know that?

 

We do not; he said that he believed in God. Any knowledge as to whether he was lying is equal to him telling the truth.

 

How do we know he said that? Voice recorders weren't invented.

 

He said so in articles published by him; I am a firm believer in evolution and I have done more than a few studies on Darwin. But you are deviating from the intention of this thread; please stay on topic or create another thread where I will be glad to chat with you.
