Your concept of economics if terrible. How about the fact there's basically no homelessness in Singapore or Hong Kong. Over 80% of people in Singapore live in nice government apartments, and they're not like the section 8 housing here. Easy to have no crime when there's near no ghettos. Sure there's income disparity, but you don't see something like LA or Manhattan where you have say Comptom where people are living in ghettos and can barely feed themselves, and can look up into the hills and see homes worth $20 million.

The problem here is the egocentric and ethnocentric points of view of The Scribe and Elijah. Neither of these gentlemen have the ability to see, let alone understand, the world from the prospective of someone who is not just like them. They have no understanding of the desperation and resignation of those who are trapped in poverty as were their parents, grandparents, great grandparents and so on.

But hey, if feeling superior is what they need to get them through the day, go for it. Maybe some day they'll come to terms with their own inadequacies and grow up. But, for now, this is starting to go in circles and I'm getting tired of the same statistics and dogmatic disparagements being repeated over and over.

I have heard "gangstas" brag about all the crimes they commit, and then express their discontent with where their lives have gone. They talk about how they were pushed into being gangsta by a variety of causes- maybe the cops, maybe the schools, and maybe because their parents didn't care. But they rarely pay attention to who the blame really falls on- themselves.

The human need for companionship is often a key factor for gang membership.
How many join a gang so they can do dope? A few, I'm sure.
And so they can commit crimes? Again, a few.
But how many join a gang to be accepted?

I know of black engineers that could whoop "The Scribe" in math. Their degrees in engineering were not handed to them because of their color. They worked for it. They earned it.

I would like to add that the black crime rate was lower before the civil rights legislation was signed. If desperation and resignation lead blacks to crime, there must have been more of it back then.

 

My question was: Why are the people of Singapore and Hong King so prosperous? Those areas are not rich in natural resources. Africa is rich in natural resources, but the people are poor.

India has much more poverty than the United States, and a lower crime rate.

 

Learn some history, they became rich by being in strategic locations(why do you think the British took them to begin with), with much more favorable economic policies and already in place infrastructure compared to neighbouring countries.

You should also know that in countries like India crime often goes under reported due to lack of infrastructure and lack of overall caring. Someone gets mugged in Oregon for they're going to go to the police, regular Indian man gets mugged in bumblefuck India he knows the police aren't going to do anything.

I've already addressed your arguments, in 2 threads. Your arguments are tired, boring, juvenile and show a complete lack of education and a refusal to see past the "whites" of your own eyes. If you can throw out your statistics for a while and show me how you can expect that a nation, Haiti, born of a slave revolution, has had the resources and opportunity to build a decent country, and somehow couldn't because of their race, I'll be open to discussion.

lol yeah the aztecs got owned by the spanish. but the aztecs were bad people too. the aztecs attacked other different native tribes that lived near them. American Natives(indians) attacked different tribes. I don't know the real names. i just know some indians names so im just gonna gives examples. the mohawks attacked the moccasians, the cherokee's attacked the apache. Really it's just like everybody fighting each other. Theres really no such thing as white, asian, black. Theres mongolia vs china vs japan vs korea. You got england vs france. You got russia vs germany.

Correct. Kinda. While you are correct about the indians fighting among themselves (as did the Africans, which led to the slavery issue), I have to correct you about the Cherokees & Navajos.


Before fighting each other they'd have to get through the Tuskagee, Chicksaw, Choctaw, Natchez, Houma, Tunica, Quapaw, Caddo, Adai, Osage, Hasinai, Tonkawa, Kiowa, Wicita, Kichai, Waco, Tawakoni, and Commanche tribal groups, and then they'll be fighting the Mecalero and Jicarilla tribal groups, which are a part of the tribal family the Navajos belong to.

6 tribal families made up of 18 tribal groups and only God knows how many actual tribes.

Something tells me that neither tribe would have done well.
