As for racial profile, that's disgusting. Ever think maybe black people are just convicted more? I mean it's a lot easier to get out of charges when one, since you're white you can make bail or get ROR, and don't have to use a public defender. Even with simple things like weed, whites, blacks and hispanics all use drugs at about equal rates, yet somehow blacks are 5x more likely to be arrested for marijuana possession vs being let off with a warning

If locking people up is really the reason for lower crime rates please explain to the other first world nations that their crime rates need to rise dramatically so your logic can hold. Locking people up is exactly the reason our crime rate is so high. Go in with a bachelor's in a petty robbery, come out with a PhD in money laundering. The entire prison system is draconian by any civilized standards and does nothing to actually rehabilitate people.

The mere fact that the recidivism rate is sooo high should be an indicator to anyone with a 2 digit IQ that punishment does not work. Anyone who has raised a child knows that punishment does not work. If punishment did work, all it would take for you to change your mind would be for two big black dudes to stomp your ass for the statements you make about them; but, I doubt very seriously that you would suddenly become an ambassador for racial harmony.

The only reason you're in favor of racial profiling is because you are a bigoted racist, which makes you part of the the nation's problems. Those drops in violent crime are skewed as fuck. NYC police department has been recently exposed under-reporting serious crime (among other things) for years to make the stats look good. I have no doubt they aren't the only major city police department that has an interest in giving the illusion of actually doing their jobs...
