Minneapolis Police Choke Handcuffed Man to Death

Today he was given a funeral fit for a head of state, and deservingly so.

But thank you for reminding us he was a human being, he had his struggles, but in death he triggered a movement that spanned the globe.

 

I don't think that his past is relevant. He wasn't perfect then again few of us are. Regardless of what I might have thought of the man he didn't deserve to due from the neck and back compressions caused by Chauvin's knee. Chauvin was a bad cop plain and simple. The LAPD does have a shady past. Going all of the way back to the Rampart scandal and before. The Watts riots come to mind though that was kinda before my time. I don't think defunding the police is a good idea but rather new policies and rules should be put in place. Not just Los Angeles but other states as well. I'm only one man and I have my opinions. Some of which are not going to be all that popular. I don't know what else to say really on this subject.

White Counter-protesters in Franklinville, N.J., Mock George Floyd's Killing

as the diverse group marched along Monday, waving signs and chanting slogans in support of the Black Lives Matter movement, it was met by several white men who had gathered near a sign that said “All Lives Matter” and in front of a pickup truck draped with an American flag and a pro-Trump sign.

One of the men yelled at the marchers angrily while kneeling on the neck of another who was facedown on the ground — an apparent attempt to mock the killing of Mr. Floyd, a black man who died in Minneapolis after a white officer knelt on his neck for nearly nine minutes.

 

He didn't press long enough or hard enough did he ???

That has absolutely nothing to do with George Floyd’s death.
The man wasn’t a saint, don’t try to make him into one,
It isn’t alleged that he pointed a gun at a pregnant women, he did do that.

Moving past that, his death was murder, in my opinion.

Do we hold cops to a higher standard? Absolutely!
Their job is to protect! They were not protecting anyone in this case.

If people would stop and just give the facts, this would be a much small thread, less back and forth bickering, etc

I do not know how these cops voted. Minneapolis and St. Paul are extremely left wing, so are the cops, unions are left wing and cops have a union. Odds are they are left wing more than right wing. It has been a left wing state since 1932. This event can easily shift that as well.

The cops are racist? Sure, some might be or are. I don’t go around saying the protesters/rioters are racist. Yes some of them are. There were more racist protesters and rioters than there are racist cops. Am I going to say left protesters are all racist and hateful people?

Right wing are not white supremacists. Racism exists on both sides. I am lot labelling the entire left because racism exists over there.

If you are black and voted right, you still get to be black. Sorry if black people don’t support you and that you have to hide how you vote from family, How you vote is no ones business! There is never shame in voting, no matter how you vote, but voting doesn’t change who you identify with, which may be a white guy, asian girl, hispanic person, Etc... If colour doesn’t matter than we are all brothers and sisters and you are not betraying your race.

Any how, try to stick to the facts, don’t try to hide something that is known as true, yeah the guy had a past wasn’t a saint, but that is no excuse, this does not justify what was done to him.
