i like your bong a lot. does the ashcatcher make much of a difference? i've never actually used one. i imagine it can make the smoke a little smoother, but mostly i'd think it helps keep your main bong cleaner. it would be awkward for me to have to pull the slide and then pull the ashcatcher....such a newb

 

haha, its actually really clean by its normal standards... pretty dirty still, cant argue with that

 

a/c's are nice.. not only do they sorta help keep the other tube clean.. and help give an extra bit of cooling to the smoke... but they also add bling to your bong :sunny:

I find that it makes a pretty big difference. I've tried smoking the bong without the ash catcher and the hits aren't as cool and smooth as with the ash catcher. Plus, like you say, it helps keep the main bong cleaner.

Pulling the slide and then the ashcatcher used to be really awkward but I got used to it decently fast. It's always fun to watch someone who hasn't smoke my bong before try it out since they always have so much trouble doing it properly, haha.

you don't pull the ash catcher.. you just pull the slide.. unless you have a cheaper "bubbler" style a/c... it's worth the investment.. give you extra percolation for smoother.. cooler smoke.. and yeah it sorta keeps your bong cleaner... by not getting ash into the main bong.. but your tube still gets res'd up just as fast

check ioffer.. they have some sweet a/c's for cheap prices

I don't know about you, joker, but when I smoke with the inline it *is* possible to clear hits when I leave the inline on, but there is so much drag from that extra water that I prefer to just pull the inline and clear the hit straight.

I pull all the smoke into the main chamber and then I pull the a/c to clear the tube.

 

nah.. there is no significant increase in drag... you may be filling your a/c too high with water

 

i disagree, i think well made ash catchers wont increase drag, but a well made a/c isn't just a brand name. ive smoked plenty of a/cs that really shouldn't be used, and its not just because they're crummy soft glass bubbler types. Brand name tree perk designs just don't work out alot of the time, which is why it's a good idea to ask if you can try an a/c with water before you buy it. Its not crazy to ask to try water pipes with water in them, it just seems kinda weird. just dont pop in a bud and light up in the store.. haha, most of those places have cameras..

anyhow, im getting on a tear hear, if you dont understand me im sorry. im gunna post a milkshot a little later. anyone want to post a challenge? i only have a little bong but its gunna be a big one.. and it my glass will be clean! haha.. maybe

 

a good way to reduce drag too is buy getting the newer disc diffused bowls... they are pretty sweet...

depending on the name brand.. some a/c's are tits.. but just because something has a name doesn't mean jack.. most "name brands" are china glass... but ya can't really knock illadelph.. MGW.. Toro.. Sheldon Black.. etc.. all amazing american made glass :sifone: and they perform well... like i said before.. sometimes more often than not.. it can be water levels being too high for the a/c that create too much drag

i have some abv qwiso hash that i'll save for when im out of weed... i didnt have coffee filters and used cheese cloth.. didnt use enough layers

 

i was thinking about making some iso out of basically what youre talking about right there; some average screen hash. whats qwiso mean? do you have a good way of making iso hash? by the way, i dont actually do these things.
