Serious issue?
I think the military is a joke.

 

Why?

 

Grown up people who want to give their life to defend arbitrary borders, given orders by people who are 'higher ranked' than them for people who are more 'powerful' than them.

For what, other than feeding someone's power trip/ego?

 

It generally isn't about borders anymore. I'm talking about the modern military in all of it's facets.

This is funny because it is ridiculous. Join the 21st century why don't you.

If you really feel this way, you really need to grow up.

I work closely with the military

If I had to imagine my own private hell it would resemble military life. You have no control of where you and your family will be sent, no control of what you wear, where and when to eat, when to sleep, you are treated like children in that you can't be alone with a member of the opposite sex in your dorm building.... Even if you are married. They are involved in every aspect of your life.... There is no privacy. If you are having marriage troubles everyone will know about it and youll be ordered to go to marriage counsul againest your will. If you get divorced they automatically deduct your salary and give it to her..... No court ruling... It is automatic.

The military is full of psychopaths that know they can treat you like shit and have full control of your life and there is nothing you can do about it.... You can't quit... Can't leave.... Even if your commanding officer is a complete moron asshole you have to salute them and do what you are told without question of youll get into trouble.... Possibly jail time.

They will send you into harms way just to secure a pile of worthless rocks..... They will sacrifice 100 of you in order to kill one man.


The salary is awful and Congress is constantly cutting their benefits. Recently the government cut most troops education benefits..... Bebfits that were promised them when they signed up...... Benefits that are on their contract in black and white.

Well, I could ask where does it becomes apparent that the rabbit put a thought to that. Eating a carrot when they receive it could as well be instinct. But it probably is better to discuss that in another topic if we'd insist.
