are you getting any outside help at all? and good for you. i had to live with my stepfather when he was addicted to the stuff. i had an ex die from heroin and coke mix.......so i dont have many found feels about it. but.......i have done it too so i dont judge you

Wow they want to move me to methadone, and a list of antidepressants, the meth is to replace the cocain, and feed the body addiction since it would be too dangerous for me to go cold turkey since my body is so dependant on it. I don't even know if its worth fighting for, it don't even remember why I was doing it, fuck this.

I've never heard of being prescribed methadone for cocaine addiction.......thats for opiates, are you sure you don't mean methamphetamine or something?

 

Of course it is worth fightin' for. YOU are worth fightin' for.

The meds are only temporary till you get yourself back on your feet. Try just lookin' at the "BIG" picture one hour at a time. I know that sounds so cliche but if you look too far ahead the overwhelmin' feelin' can be too depressin'.

 

Why don't you go get a second opinion somewhere else on the whole treatment plan thingy? And do they expect you to do all this without supervision? I just don't get it...

Don't people that want to quit a daily habit of cocaine need to be in an inpatient setting? (Ignorant, non-drug-user here.)

There are many good reasons to quit drugs, and I will definitely discuss this further with you in private.

It's good that you recognize you have a problem. When coke becomes central to your thoughts and emotions, when you start planning your evenings around the drug, then you're entering the danger zone.

Did the Doctor mention anythin' to you about social phobia? When he gave you your medicines did he say that they will help with that anxiety/phobia feelin' you get when your around people? Chances are the meds will help target that problem too.

May I ask how you are feelin' right now? Today is day 1 not usin' right? Are you havin' any anxiety now?
