I think that people who thought Bowling for Columbine was about gun control need to re-watch the movie. He points out specifically that even Canada has more guns in households than americans, but far less gun violence. The movie was about gun violence, but not gun control. Seems to me that he was putting blame on the media in that movie, not guns.

He also seemed to be blaming K-Mart for selling the bullets those kids bought. That's like holding Kroger responsible for a drunk driver causing an accident with some beer he or she bought from Kroger. Kroger shouldn't have to stop selling beer because some people mis use it. K-mart didn't have to stop selling bullets, they should have at least have an age requirement to buy them.

Michael Moore was playing the media at their own game.
When did you last read anything in the mainstream media that was truth and not propaganda? The media can say and do anything and get away with it. So can the politicians (obviously!). Those who call the shots in the news media are paid by some of the richest men on the planet (and they didn't get to be that by their inspirational good works!). At least Michael Moore speaks up for those of us who DO give a crap about people (no matter what colour, race or religion).
I read the email with the names of the fallen soldiers. It made me feel sad and I agreed with what he said about hoping one day they will forgive us.
How can you possibly sanction a war that is totally about oil and the money and power that comes from having control of it?
Thank Goddess some of you anti-Moore's weren't around in the 60's and 70's apologising for those who supported the war in Vietnam. Wake up you guys! You are HUMAN BEINGS, and there are plenty of human beings just like you suffering and dying because Bush, Blair and Howard want their piece of the global cake.
    (Pardon me while I puke)

I'am against the war in Iraq myself. My point is that Michael Moore's movie would be counter-productive if he set out to make a movie that was obviously biased against Bush, and made questionable claims, like about the Bin Laden's and the airports on 9/11 http://www.factcheck.org/article294.html.

This type of propaganda would just enegergize all the pro-Bush people to go out and teach that Liberal Moore a lesson, and this is what I ment by a Micheal Moore backlash.
