Michael Jackson was an amazing talent. I'm not sure I will live to see another example of that kind of combined singing and dancing talent in one individual. Beyond that, I think he had a good heart. He wanted very much to make the world a better place, in any way that he could.

He will be bigger and more successful in death than in life because so many people were made uncomfortable by his personal life. I think we all worried a little that the worst accusations might be true. Now we can put that aside, and focus on the talent and the body of work left behind. And as they said in the memorial service, we are all innocent until proven guilty. Michael was proven guilty only of having nearly unlimited talent.

    Love and peace,
    Karen

Ok, so, Michael was good at what he did. So what? What exactly did he do to shape music? I mean cmon, lets put this in perspective. He invented a few dance steps, and wrote some decent songs for those who liked them kinda of songs.

Now, is all this attention warranted? I think not. Did Jimi Hendrix, who quite frankly changed the face of rock n roll get this type of attention? Did Janis get this? How about musicians of today who are still alive? Do you think Charlie Daniels who melded pop, rock, and country genres will get this type of attention when he dies? Or Bruce Springsteen or Billy Joel or Neil Young? These are people who wrote songs about AMERICA, about the true life in AMERICA, about what life was like and what should be, or what was wrong. These are people who wrote about what was wrong, or about true life, and not just some black wanna be white boy who danced and molested children, and dangled his own kids over balconies. I swear, the world today has lost what is real, what is true, what is dear and near to us.

When Springsteen kicks the bucket, it will be a huge deal.

yeah, but it wont be the same as Michael. It wont have the "shock" factor and made to be as sensational unless he dies of a drug overdose or something like that. It will be like farrah, in the news for a day till something scandalous happens.

I can't deny I was never a fan of the Jacko that everyone's raving on about these daze...I prefer to remember him as that little fuzzy-haired kid who sang massively with the Jackson 5 many. many moons ago.....whatever happened to that little boy?!..well, I guess he just grew up like all of us, but he paid a TRAGIC tribute to life.....so RIP to you. Having said this, to say he was the biggest ever rockstar in the world is far-fetched...to say the least.
