    Oh & I am going to see Metallica live at Wembley in less than a month!!!!!

    In this poll, Black Sabbath would have been the odd one out. I wouldn't have added them either if the poll were mine. Not that I don't like them, of course. :)

    I agree, Sabbath is a different kind of metal. If they were on it I had no other choice then vote for them though. Tryyyy me ouhout, allright!

    when i think of metal they're the first to pop up then metallica then slayer,pantera Iron maiden, megadeath Anthrax, etc.

    i like earlier stuff..

    I like their earlier stuff best as well. I see that music more like music like Blue Cheer, Led Zeppelin, earlier Deep Purple and even Ten Years after at times. I don't see those bands in the same line of metal as in the threadname neither. They're all more proto-metal to me. Not that it really matters in the end ;). It's just that the bands in this thread sound like typical metal to me and Sabbath and the other bands I just named just not really. :)

    It seems like the thread starter wanted to compare the most popular bands of the American thrash metal scene. Black Sabbath doesn't belong in such list even though they're more influential, and just as metal. You shouldn't see it as an insult to Sabbath.
