Ho shit.. nice Pat Try living in the South Island of New Zealand, where no metal bands worth two shits can be bothered to come play. They either stay in the North island or don't bother coming to New Zealand at all But alas! We're starting to get some really good bands making their way here, We had Dismember and Grave not long ago, and soon to have Morbid Angel
yes I am a legend Lack of black metal on my list though. More black metal needs to come to Canada. Might be going to see mayhem and marduk soon
I have made an attempt of listing my metal concerts as well. It's incomplete though, some I have forgotten and saw many bands I didn't particular care for live on festivals as well. Well, some of those made my list Bruce Dickinson Iron Maiden Saxon Diamond Head Dio Taake Ancient Naglfar Ministry Amorphis Anathema Vintersorg Moonsorrow Cruachan Amon Amarth Korpiklaani Finntroll Cathedral Celtic Frost Enslaved Horna Mayhem Thyrfing Black Sabbath Satyricon Ayreon Dimmu Borgir Blind Guardian Dominé Helloween Hammerfall Freedom Call Kamelot 1349 Iskald Vreid Kampfar Darkthone's Nocturno Culto (with Satyricon) Well, like I said I forgot lots of stuff (keep adding more that come to mind while making this list ), tried to kept the rock stuff out. Saw a couple of bands that weren't on my list on Pat's list as well: Exhumed, Soilwork, Meshuggah, In Flames (crowdsurfed all over the place during this band's show! ), Cryptopsy, Slayer of course, Nile, Arch Enemy, Cannible Corpse. Also saw bands like Cradle of Filth (if you like 'em or not, live they're just not good), Rammstein, Sepultura, etc. etc. I better stop now, I've listed the most important :cheers2:
If you're looking for a really good metal band listen to Testament. They've been around for a while and they're killer good, they're just not well known.
Must just be where I'm from nobody knows then. They're pretty damn sexy my dad totally got me into them.
I saw Testament live as well, hahaa! I think with Deicide. I'm not too big on both to be honest, but it was a good party :cheers2:
Also forgot some good old classics like Doro and Twisted Sister  and Grave Digger :cheers2: Saw Vader a couple of times as well
Twisted sister... lol im not too much of a fan of GLAM Metal (gay LA metal ) GLAM Metal doesnt really mean that for all you uneducated peoples
I saw Testament live too with Monsters of Rock, I was pretty disappointed to be honest don't think they got to play long enough =/
Yeah saw Deicide live as well.. i don't know why i thought Glenn was going to be anything less than a complete douchebag.. but hey, it kinda made the show more worthwhile
Yeah, I don't like that glam stuff a lot neither, but Twisted Sister had some songs like Burn in hell and I wanna rock that are good fun live. I just listed them because I saw them live, same with Vader and Deicide, I'm not a fan of their style at all but at a festival I can just go with the flow
everyone should check this out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Vf3VzVbrXU Watch it all, it goes into a metal song. the pretzel and icecaps vocals remind me of mercyful fate
