Grinders aren't worth anything. How about ash from a cigarette, that's not worth anything either. Your statement is false.

Meat is the best. Bloody raw red meat. Just give me a cow, I'll cut off what I want and ride the rest home.

If something truly DID NOT matter, it simply wouldn't be.
It is made up of matter, therefore, it matters. Haha.

well...if grinders aren't worth anything, why are you? Are you just *there* like a grinder? Or are you actually doing anything useful to help other's ?

I'm human, that's why I am worth something. Humans are not property.

They act as moral agents. Cows have no concept of morality whatsoever.

now how'd you know that? Ever spoken to a cow? Yes, they may not have morals , but that doesn't mean animal cruelty is any more right. Cows have feelings too you know....

Cows have feeling only of pain or pleasure such as a scratch on the back. You admit that animals have no morals. Animal cruelty is not right ever, however, eating animals is right always.

which is associated with animal cruelty. (read the whole thread, then you know what I meen....)

But cows are actually pretty smart creatures, they feel pleasure, curiosity, love, and many other feelings too....

Love? Good luck with that one.....

I've seen most of the thread ryupower, why in the world would you associate eating meat with animal cruelty? Be specific.

because of the animal cruelty going on in the meat industry.

Yes, animals know when their companions are missing. Like horses, for instance, they go crazy if they can't find everyone, they also miss their herd when they're alone. Animals wheap, mew, whatever, when people close to them are missing. n by birds that if they found a mate, they often mate for life, if one of the two mates dies, the other will often die of a heart attack or so. Besides, they have to raise young...
I could think of many other things, but I'll stop here, or the list'll go on and on.
Love, by humans too, is all just based on hormones and genetics.

Another thing, about morals, animals don't need them. Humans obviously do.

I said be specific, not re-iterate what you had already said.

OK so horses know when their pasture mates are not there, how does this equate with the notion of love? Animals do not cry, but they make sounds that equate with them wanting something that is not there; they are simply void of something that they want, this does not equate love.

"Human love is based on genetics and hormones", that all depends.

If animals want any type of 'rights' (which they have absolutely no concept of), they're going to have to obtain some morals.

Oh and let's get one thing straight here, comparitively cows are retards, not smart by any means.

so I'm supposed to copy paste my post again?

You forgot the whole thing with birds. And horses care about each other very much.Animals cry, they just don't weep.
Love towards a certain person (your mate) is nothing more then a chemical reaction based on scents, and genetics.
You must have not read my post....
how do you know? Ever met a cow?? They live in HERDS, animals that live in herds are pretty intelligent, they have ranks: the alphas (leaders), the betas ( seconed to leader ) and omegas ( the one everyone descriminates), they need to help each others, work together, and they need to take care of the rest of the family too, many herd animals even clean each other.

Just because something does not react in the way you do doesn't mean it isn't capable of love and emotion and morals. How do you know a tiger doesn't have any morals? Did it tell you? Is it because they're not equal to yours or what you think they should be, they aren't there?

No, you were supposed to answer my question, which you have avoided for quite sometime. What makes you think that there is abuse in practice of slaughtering animals? Specifics....

Oh how could I forget the birds!? I'll believe that when I have some reason to.

No, love is a thought process, a function of the brain. I'm not sure what context you are using genetics in, explain that one....I sure hope you're not talking about evolution. And seeing that our sense of smell ranges from poor to nearly non-existent, you keep wearing your faramone (sp? - whatev) perfume....I'll stick with my vision.

Obviously I did. Did you not understand what I was saying? Animals have no morals, how can we give rights to the brute which does not reciprocate?

Right, uh huh....maybe humans should start traveling in herds. Might even gain a little on our IQ. My point, which you disregarded, was that the intelligence of a cow will never compare to our own.

Oh and I love the last statement, "clean each other". Yeah that's real smart.

Well seeing that humans are the smartest, most capable moral agents that walk the earth, yes, it does matter if that something reacts in the same way that I do. How about that hawk that rips the gut out of a rabbit when it is still alive? Where's its' morals then? Same for your tiger.

    Yes that's right.

aww god..here we go again, where the whole thing started. YOU were there the whole time...weren't you? So you probably saw my posts about animal cruelty in the meat industry.Don't tell me you're to stupid to remember that, go back to page 9 or so.....
Didn't I mention the reason ,like, two posts ago??
    some sources:
    http://www.morgenwelt.de/futureframe/9908-oxytocin.htm
    http://my.webmd.com/content/article/36/1728_72363

    http://www.buzzle.com/editorials/text3-27-2004-52238.asp

And I read it in PM, a German science magazine.

Incase you haven't noticed, we live together with others. The way you made it sound wasn't comparing cow to human. It looked like you said a cow compaired to other animals. missunderstanding.
