if you can't tell the difference between hunting/fishing (which is where 90 percent of my meat comes from, either family/friends/me) and a factory farm, you might want to reevaluate your self-esteem. specifically, a couple notches lower.
1. Use formatting. That was unreadable. 2. Once again, there are still millions of people who are slaves, don't use fucking past tense. 3. Black people aren't biologically different from white people. They are genetically distict, but biologically of the same species. 4. None of the animals we keep in farms have the ability to recognise themselves, so they couldn't feel pain when their calf died. They wouldn't even know. The pain isn't equal. 5. The pysical pain isn't equal either. The human brain has many more neurons to sense pain then farm animals. http://faculty.washington.edu/chudler/ap.html

(1) My apologies (2)I was referring to the slave trade ONCE prevalent in the United States because that is where I live and that is the industry that I feel has faults. (3) No shit. I was making this reference to show that it is ignorant to descriminate based on race just as it is to descriminate based on species. (4+5) No, they do not have the ability to feel pain on the level that you and I do. But what about a severely brain damaged human? Why does he or she deserve more consideration than an animal that can feel the same amount of pain and even think on a higher level? The only reason you devalue the animal is because it is infact an animal- and it is not of your species.

How was I supposed to know that you generate 90% of your meals by hunting? I do not live with you. Beyond that, congrats for being strong enough to kill a helpless dear with your big gun- you are truly a champion.
because i specifically mentioned the fish that i caught. you should buy this book i wrote. its called: logical fallacies, ad hominem, and some dumb chick who can't make up a coherent argument.
Then you have a US centered world view, and other countries use factory farming also. You wouldn't invite a tiger to eat dinner with your family because it would piss all over the place, and then eat you when you tried to serve it tofu. That's discriminating on species. We do it all the time. If I see a snake, I'm avoiding it because it will probably bite me. If you think of people of different races like you do animals then you either need to spend more time with other races, or more time with animals. 5 was about physical pain, 4 was about emotional pain. If we had someone that couldn't feel phisical pain to the same degree, they'd still probably have loved ones who would feel pain for their children/brother whatever. the animals we raise could care less. If all you can do is compare this to the slave trade and the holocaust, your argument falls on death ears here. I care about people. Most animals are okay and have their purpose. One of the many purposes for many billions of people has been food for millions of years. You can say that now we've evolved to a point where it's no longer nessecary for everyone in the US to eat meat, that's probably a valid argument. Comparing to the holocaust isn't.
Heh, I was about to mention ad hominem, but I assume I'd have to post a link to wikipedia or something, and I just don't care enough.
this is getting sad can we let it die? If people want to rail against the rest of hte world for consuming meat instead of dealing with other violent and tortuous concerns affecting humans directly (sex slave trade, starvation, famine disease etc etc etc) that's their prerogative, we don't need to feed them
I agree with Ihmurria. This has been done hundreds of time. If you want to discuss if further, take it to the veg*n forum. I honestly would love more french lessons.
You're relentless logic can just be frustrating . You're still great. I just wish you'd be less damned reasonable all the time.
that's just because me being irresponsible would've involved me running off to visit you instead I went and got myself a couple more jobs because I'm a goddam genius
how about everyone SHUTS THE FUCK UPPPPP and eats whatever they want. thank you and goodnight mothafuckas
I dont "think its cool to eat meat" I just like the taste of it, so I eat it. Its part of the way of life, buddy, get over it. Other animals eat each other, so why not eat them? They taste damn good.
