I have read the entire bible actually. More then once. I feel that it inspires more faith in me then actual knowledge. Faith that even in religion there is imperfection. It means that I can feel less guilty for making mistakes as long as I learn from those mistakes. I believe that if you learn from things that truely hurt yourself or others that you will be forgiven.

I believe the Christian bible is an important book because if it is read in the right mind frame it really does talk to you like the book of I Ching does. Unfortunately, too many people take it literally instead of a guide to point you in the right direction. They assume it has all the answers when it really doesn't contain the answers itself but a way to find the answers within yourself.

I have nothing against the Christian religion and respect all religions for what they are. All good religions (meaning ones that are against the harm of yourself or others) basically say the same thing if you read between the lines. It's just that every person identifies with a different way of describing it.

In my religion I am taught to respect others for their beliefs. Mormons really find me interesting because I don't judge them and actually make them second guess their own way of thinking. They come to me to "save me" and in the end walk away with more to think about then I do. Oh, got to love the Mormons for wanting to save a bisexual Wiccan like myself. In one case, I had both of them walking away with hard-ons, grins on their face and all at the sensual thought of two girls making out.

The issue of Msturbation is one commonly misinterpreted. While as a Catholic, I can see your point Please remember that Jesus had a good lunch with a tax collector. Furthermore he welcomed whores. The root of what im trying to get at comes from a commetn of St. Paul reguarding the law. Before Instruction thier can be no sin. If one was not raised in a Catholic Household, or a Mormon Household, or anyother religion that frowns upon masturbation thier can be no sin, and thus no hell. Furhtemore, the Church recognises the addictive tendancies of masturbation and the CCC says that an indepth judgement of the charachtr of the person in question must be made before a judgement is passed.

I may not be Christian and I may not believe in God, persay. But okay, hypothetically if I died and was having judgement passed, I don't think masturbation would be one of the things I was actually judged for. To my knowledge, the reason it is a sin in some (and not all) Christian teachings is because it takes away your concentration from God. Don't you think that's a little bit selfish? It's seriously not like it hurts ANYONE. Masturbation CAN'T hurt anyone. If God was so awesome and loving of all his creatures, I don't seriously think He would hold that against a person if they were a good person.

I am a good person. I have a squeaky clean record (not even one fine, ever). I've never really been in a fight, I've never stollen in my life, I rarely lie and when I do it's white lies about questions people have no business asking in the first place. I've never cheated. I've never intentionally deeply hurt someone and I've never done something out of vengence. The only actual law I have ever broken is smoking weed and experimenting on a few drugs. The only "sins" I've committed in my life according to the Christian religion is I've had sex before marriage, I've messed around with someone of the same gender, and I masturbate. If I'm wrong about my belief system and there really is a God? I can rest easy. I know I will go to Heaven in that case. I have a pure heart and a big one at that and God would never condem an otherwise good person on something as trivial as Masturbation and sex before marriage. If that's the case, He really isn't all that awesome and loving as people make Him out to be.
