I don't have an addictive personality, I haven't been addicted to smokes, weed, alcohol, or anything else. The only withdrawal symptoms I feel are from not seeing my girl as much as I'd like.

I quit smoking green for a few months without a problem, there's your sign.

But I vote for: who the fuck cares?
Each person has their own feelings on this issue, what difference does it make? It's entirely subjective if it's a psychological issue (which it is).

yes I am addicted to pot.

I smoke everyday a minumum of 3 times a day and I consider it way too much, for me at least. I am smoking much more then I should be and this has been goin on for about 6 monthes now.

The real problem here is that it's starting to get to my head. In the very begging I was more concerned about spending all my money on pot, now it's gettin worse.
I always used to be a shy person maybe I have some kind of social anxiety disorder I dunno. Whatever it is it has substantially detoriorated after this period of heavy smoking.
Sometimes when I am hanging out with a big group of friends I get this anxiety attacks where I just keep on zooming out, cant focus on the ongoing conversation and just cant sem to make eye contact with anyone at all. I try to smile but I am unable to and just get this feeling that everyone around me is noticing what is going on with me as if they could tell from my body language or something.

I know I should definitly lay down the pot for a while but i just cant. This may sound sad but it seems to me that life would be kinda meaning less or very dull without pot.
I think I am just going to smoke untill I eventually really freak out one time after smoking a learn that the hard way....

I'm about ready to spend $1000 on a ticket to Amsterdam so I can smoke some. If that isn't addiction, nothing is.

If you want to be addicted to something try some meth or coke. I think the majority of people say they are addicted just to make themselves look 'cool', or they are using the cannabis as an excuse for something that is going wrong in there lifes. And your making the rest of us look bad.

look cool? nah not about that . quite the opposite actually I useually try to hide from my friends that I smoke much more then I should (and much more then they do) even though all of them are potheads. I talk about it openly here coz you know I still got anonimity so it's easier to admit these kinda things. Addiction is not cool at all, doesnt matter what it is.

I dunno if I replied to this thread already, but I will again anyway:
Nah, Im not addicted. For me, I just love having it and sitting down with friends, or strangers, and passing a joint around. Theres something about that feeling, sitting, talking with everyone, having the joint passed to you, and then having the joy of passing it onto the next person, that is just simply amazing.
So, Id sad its something I could definitely do without, but I almost get nostalgic when I dont have it. Not in the sense of "I need to be stoned!" but for example, when first coming to living in Germany for a year, I didnt know how to get weed the first two months (because I couldnt speak any german until the second month and I just didnt knwo where to look). ANd during those two months I was fine and wasnt craving weed, but I DID miss the act of sitting around with friends and packing the next bowl, of laughing at the ridiculousness of rolling YET another joint...ya dig me?

Well I smoke every day about 2-3 times a day... sometimes more and sometimes less but I would not necessarily consider it an addiction because while I wouldn't call it medicine per se (it does not heal anything wrong with me) it is definately a therapeutic aid for my digestive problems and heavy indicas work as a nice sleep aid as well. But if I dont smoke after I eat I tend to have lots of gastrointestinal problems that are quickly relieved with a toke. The medicines doctors have perscribed me not only have bad side-effects (dizzyness, cramps, etc.) but they also do not work nearly as effective as some good herb.

So I smoke a lot but I wouldnt say I'm addicted. I'm addicted to the internet.

I'd say that I'm addicted. Since all I do is smoke.

i dont do it alot, but i could say how you could, i just love to smoke and observe shit and love music, its kinda like it enhances the day and helps you get through so i can definantely see how someone can be a daily smoker, specially in a stressful enviornment, thats just my take on it.

I'm pretty sure, like the original poster said, you can't be physically addicted to pot. Therefore, technically, you can't actually be addicted to pot. Sure, you may have a habit of smoking pot, but then again you might have a habit of masturbating every day, too. In either of these cases, you may feel annoyed, or out of sorts, or stressed if you can't follow your normal routine, but you aren't going to suffer from withdrawal. Not the physical kind. There's a huge difference there, and no offense to those who replied that they feel they are addicted, saying that one is addicted to pot is a little bit silly to me, and trivializes what true addiction is.
